A valid substitute for the Sun Darter Hatchling is the store-bought Soul of the Aspects. I used 1-1-2. Use Deflection in the first round, swap as indicated. When Chrominius dies and SotA comes back in, use Deflection specifically to counter Antaen Cannon, and Surge of Light or Breath if you need to fill in turns. After the Deflection round, swap to the Nexus Whelpling.

This is a great substitute, but both movesets above are not right if we want Breath and Surge of Light in there. It should be 2/2/1

Tried this with a favourite team used 3 nexus whelplings, managed to get completion with the second pet, didnt need the third 1-2-2 start with Arcane Storm, Arane Blast , let it complete, and finish with Tail Sweep, first pet is always a casualty, as Earseeker basically destroys it.
