Trunks' main ability has a 50% hit chance, but it doesn't have to hit very many times to be effective.

I didn't get past pet #1 with both wisps, so I tried Shrieker 121, Muar 111, and Eldritch Manafield 222. Spirit spikes on round 1 (if mothballs hits 3 times that's roughly 1500 dmg to Star Tail alone in round 1), followed by soul rush and feedback until she dies. Muar goes in, drain power, then bite (I was able to kill Needlenose and use Life Exchange on Brite). Last pet handily wins with either surge or soulrush. I haven't researched this, but life exchange works quite nicely and spirit spikes is brutal against mothballs (and you want them to hit, so reverse rng?). Hope this helps!

Didn't work worth a damn with SS and HP Wisps. Never made it to second Flash with wisps. Manafiend barely killed Star Tail and got one hit on Needlenose before dying. Fifth time worked, though just barely. (edited)

So I didn't get the base strat to work, but:
1. socket Light for skill one on both Wisps
2. Flash, Light, then arcane until dead
3. Your first Wisp needs to eat the toxic bomb as Needle comes in, if not ...
4. New wisp, flash and light
5. Arcane and flash when up
6. Eldi comes in for cleanup

It might be RNG, I tried several times before I posted the strat and for me they all worked, but that may have been pure luck :) I don't think it's breed specific, however it has only been tried with BB, SB, SS and HP breeds, so I can't be entirely sure.
