I think the script has an error, should be "ability(#1) [!enemy(#3).active]" maybe? The script stopped working once I got down to 2 pets, and ability #1 was never used because of the missing "!". I ended up manually pushing it, no biggie but could be fixed.

are you sure you copied the script right? the only situation when it should be broken is when you have only 1 pet left and the enemy at least 2. because otherwise the worst it should do is keep on swapping pets.
and if the line would include the ! the script would just spam the #1 right from the beginning

Wouldn't adding in the "!" make it so that ability 1 is used only when enemy pet 3 is dead? Which is when you would want to start doing damage instead of swapping. The script never proc'd ability 1 for me, which was annoying. Once I lost a pet, I wasted a couple rounds just swapping pets instead of attacking. I'm still learning scripts, so I'm sure there are other options as well. (edited)

no, ! means that the opposite happens. so in this case abilithy #1 would be used if the third enemy is NOT active, which we dont want

I noticed the 3rd enemy pet died first, which left the other 2 really low health. Which is when you should just finish the fight with heavy damage using ability 1. I think I confused active and alive. In any case, script may not work well if you lose a pet.... Seems like there should be an easy fix for that, maybe not. IIRC, the first enemy pet is always the last one alive, so as written, ability 1 will never be used. (edited)

I had none of the tree pets so I used a Sun Sproutling for the 3rd pet. He died about halfway through and it still worked on the first attempt. Singing Sunflower had to use Solar Beam at the end to finish off the last pet.

I did this strat (kinda) with Blossoming Ancient, Ruby Sapling, Fozling,
BA: Sunlight, Photo. Swap RS: Photo. Swap Foz: Sunlight, Photo, Swap BA - repeat rotation. Don't DPS Star Tail with anything but Sunlight. You want to hit backline pets with Sunlight as often as possible.

Great strat. i would substitute the second Fozling with Broot as primary so that it appears higher on top as most people typically wouldnt have a second Fozling, but Broot is more common.

Very similar to the other strategy by Shenk but works. I had a Broot rather than the second Fozling, and lost the Sunflower when it was stunned and suffered crits, but it worked first time. Could say it's long but actually took less time than trying through repeated attempts with other strats.

I didn't have a third slot pet so I used Sun Spoutling instead since he has photosynthesis to keep himself alive and passed on his second round because he doesn't have sunlight. His Solar Beam move is very strong and easily finished off the last pet after it healed too!

For some reason after winning this fight twice with the only change being an everburning treant in the 3rd slot it didn't count for eerie elementals. I tried alternative #2 here and it counted. *shrug* (edited)

Script worked fine, but be aware that you have to take over once the third pet shows up or else the Cyclone will wreck your backline pets.

Good strat. I didn't have a third pet with both photosynthesis and sunlight so I took the Ruby Sapling and just had him photosynthesis on his rotation. Worked fine. Good longer. But worked fine.

I did the same. Took 40 rounds to do after my sunflower got put to sleep right at the end when it went to finish off the >100 HP of Star Tail and Brite, but it worked perfectly with no risk.
