it worked, barely, using this strategy The Maw killed both of my first pets using Devour healing itself basically to full health again, just got lucky the Direbeak was able to solo 90% of the remaining health due to some good crits

If your Kun-Lai Runt doesn't die in Turn 7 swap to Terky anyway to keep the Maw from healing. This will also help ensure that Terky dies without healing the maw. (criticals can still cause it to happen) and then just squak and swarm. No ironskin needed.

This sooooo does not work. Please validate these teams before allowing these posts. If you change direbreak hatchling to 1-2-1 and use predatory strike after 2 rounds of Falcosaur Swarm and Ironskin first then you can win.

I just tested the strategy again, though this time I went with Ironskin, Warning Squawk, Falcosaur Swarm in that order. I'll add it to the strategy. However, I'd just like to state, that previously adding both Ironskin and Warning Squawk before doing Falcosaur Swarm has not been necessary.

What breed of the Kun-Lai Runt did you use? Before I edited the strategy.
