I was disconnected at the beginning of the fight, and thought:
"Can I prevent the second Chain Lightning by starting with lower HP and thus reducing the number of rounds Voidglower passes?"

Thus, didn't heal, and started with 987 HP. (P/S breed)

I don't think an additional Batter round would make a difference – the AoE was still on cooldown when Squibbles died. :)

EDIT: Tried the same today and the second AoE was cast at round 6 what a pity :( (edited)
