Worked well for me when I had to have the Shadowbarb Hatchling in the team.
Ikky with Black Claw and Flock is also an acceptable alternative to the Zandalari. Thank you to DragonsAfterDark for fixing my script. |

This team works for pretty much all Nazjatar, Mechagon and Assault 1 pet fights, always the same idea, Blistering Cold + Black Claw makes the enemy die with many many dots.
Although it is somewhat slow it works every time, regardless of what Aqir does. Have to do the fight more times to see how often the deaths of the first two pets happen at the given turns. I am not the one that came up with this strategy, it has been around for a while in multiple places, the advantage is that all pets are easily obtainable. |

This is a strat thrown together and may never be published with its design being niche - the one shot Vengeance.
Lost Netherpup was chosen so the Burrow hit would take half its health allowing Vengeance to be buffed by the Beast racial. The low health is a risk as a 'super crit' can 1 shot. Victory is assured if Burrow hits for 758 or more and the Pup survives. At last play test, 56% of all vengeance attacks resulted in a kill. The hits ranged from just over 2k to over 3800. I have not seen a vengeance crit yet. |

An 8 turn victory with zero chance of failure, even if the enemy crits you every single time. Still works in Shadowlands.

Fairly straightforward strategy. Thanks to Sipder2 for posting it on Wowhead.com. I added a TD Script for the fight that seems to work pretty consistently. Don't forget to leave a nice comment and record your successes.

If you have a limited collection, you can beat every new 8.3 Pet Battle World Quest with these 3 pets:
Wayward Spirit Foulfeather (S/S) Twilight Clutch-Sister (P/S) All 3 pets are fairly common and tradable, so you should be able to get them cheap from your AH if you don't have them. Only the listed breeds have been tested. A strategy using these 3 pets is posted for each 8.3 WQ: - K'tiny the Mad - Tormentius - Baruk Stone Defender - Vil'thik Hatchling - Retinus the Seeker - Whispers - Aqir Sandcrawler - Blotto |

Taking a 10,000 ft overview, Boneshard dies at the end of round 4, leaving both Blistering cold and Chop debuffs on the enemy. Zandalari Anklerender / Kneebiter applies Black Claw and then gets one round of Hunting party off. Your raptor willl probably die next round, but the blistering cold dots combined with the debuffs from Black Claw and Hunting party are enough to kill the enemy.

2. I imagine crits can throw this off a bit. If you get more than one crit from Locust Swarm on the raptor, killing it, I don't think this will work (with a leveling pet). Early death on Boneshard might also throw this off, but I couldn't get the Aqir to kill him on the Swarm to test it.
3. I tried this with all breeds of the Zandalari, and it worked fine. The only breed that *won't* be susceptible to 2 crits from Locust Swarm is the P/B breed. If you get three crits from Locust Swarm, well, that's just some bad RNG.

Another option if the Zandalari isn't working is to use Ikky with Black Claw and Flock. I have also had success with that.
