Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

I somehow question his abilities as a trapper, considering most of his pets are not exactly alive.

I've updated the script as the old one doesn't use ability ID's so other players using other localizations can still use the script.

use(Schutz der Natur:574) [round>2 && !self.aura(Schutz der Natur:820).exists]
use(Schutz der Natur:574) [round>2 && self.aura(Schutz der Natur:820).duration=1]

use(Mottenstaub:508) [self.round=1]
use(Alphastoß:504)

use(Kokonschlag:506)

I struggled with this strategy, so I used 2 of Effervescent Glowfly, Mei Li Sparkler, Shrine Fly & Firefly, using Cocoon Strike and Swarm, then finished off Gnaw with a Coastal Sandpiper (122) using Quicksand then flock. Although was tempted to try a 3rd Flyer with a move strong against Elementals - such as Tranquil Wader (**2) or Azure Crane Chick (2*2).

Ashwing Moth (122), Cerulean Moth (111), Amberbarb Wasp (122)

Did not record the strat but it was very easy with this setup.

Worked perfectly first time. Didn't need to use amberbarb wasp. Thank you!

Kathleene wrote on 2017-10-09 15:45:59

This strategy worked very well for me, finishing up Flock Together as well as bringing my Stormwing within a brief battle of L25.

I'd like to caution folks, however, that all moths are not created equal. I used a Royal Moth in order to have one of the tested breeds. Pulled him into battle with his 2/1/2 abilities up and discovered that they didn't include Moth Dust or Cocoon Strike. Now, this strategy is strong enough that it wasn't a problem, and he took out Jarrun's last pet with a couple of hits; but I wanted folks to be aware of the issue in case you're having an RNG-hell of a day and really need those spells to win. It's always a good idea to read through the fight detail provided above before entering battle - something that I obviously didn't do this time (shamed face) - that way, you can double check that you have everything in place for the best possible outcome.

Thanks to Xu-Fu and all of the contributors for the great strategies and tips.

If you got more then half health on Teroclaw when you reach Gnaw, open with dodge and alpha strike him to death with ease, shouldn't need a second pet then.

Zashule wrote on 2017-05-16 16:06:01

Cerulean Moth is also not usable on this fight. Didn't check until I realized I had Call Lightning instead of Moth Dust

Szuzsika wrote on 2016-10-18 10:04:55

If you're lucky and don't get any crits, when Gnaw comes in you can press dodge, so you won't get the reduced healing debuff and the dot from Ignite, and I managed to finish off all 3 pets with just the Teroclaw

Gráinne

wrote on 2016-10-18 11:13:08

Yes, I just did that as well. The Teroclaw still even had its racial for its victory lap. :)

Eric the Epic wrote on 2016-12-23 14:51:22

The Falcosaur's work well here. Direbeak (1 ,2 ,1), Bloodgazer (1, 1, 1), Sharptalon (1, 1, 1).
For the Mist Wraith: Swarm, Ironskin, Predatory Strike, Swarm, He comes back to life, Swarm ends.
Crawdead: Swarm, Swarm continues - He puts up Shell shield), Predatory Strike, Ironskin, Swarm, Swarm - Direbeak dies. Bring in Bloodgazer and use Predatory Strike, He comes back to life and shields, Swarm.
Gnaw: Swarm Continues, Swarm - Bloodgazer dies. Sharptalon comes in, Predatory Strike.

Radek wrote on 2016-09-24 04:39:32

I'd move Teroclaw's dodge up to where Crawdead comes in - as he'll use carpnado as first move, and with Teroclaw in elemental mode, it can do some brutal damage.

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-09-23 20:57:30

Hey Radek!
Carpnado is an AOE that does about 200 damage on the Teroclaw (as Elemental). His Infected Claw however does 244 - 453 damage, and with the Dodge where it is you escape 2 of those, instead of just one Carpnado (because Crawdead uses Shell Shield directly afterwards).

Aserium wrote on 2016-09-23 21:29:01

That strat worked fine. I also swapped in a lvl 10 flying pet during Crawdead's resurrect!
