Tried this strat over and over. Doesn't work. At all.

Badjoojoo - SOE wrote on 2016-12-06 20:55:45

It didn't work because I was using this strat for a different trainer *face/palm*

P/S Kneebiter worked fine, with Bloodfang finishing off the Howler and healing enough to help clean up later on.

Swyftlyght wrote on 2016-09-07 02:18:40

I used the Anubiseth Idol as the 3rd pet and good thing. Icefang Howler kills the kneebiter before the second bloodfang can hit. You can still put a levelling pet in after your kneebiter dies, and switch to the idol. Today Icefang Howler had frogs as backups; the idol had no trouble with those.
Overall, good strategy, thanks!

Start out with Black Claw/Hunting Party and finish with Bloodfang. Using Anubisesth Idol worked like a charm on the 2 backup pets. Thanks again for putting this together.

From pure mathematics this can only happen if the wolf has a critical strike. But perhaps I'm wrong here - otherwise it's depending on breed and that I wanted to avoid as much as possible. Can you let me know which breed you were using @Swyftlyght?

Twilightcrescent wrote on 2016-09-07 20:56:43

This strategy more-or-less works with one significant caveat. I think it's very silly to do Bloodfang first. You ought to start with Black Claw then Hunting Party then lastly do Bloodfang so you get the benefit of the heal when he takes down the wolf and also you will do more damage with it since Hunting Party buffs your damage. When I tried to do it the other way the Kneebiter got owned before the wolf was even dead. Putting Bloodfang last will likely be more successful. I used a Pandaren Dragonling for my 3rd and he did just fine. Any clean-up pet will do though since you're primarily taking down the big wolf's critter buddies.

Hey! If you have an S/S Kneebiter, the wolf will survive with 2 health and you won't have any spells off cooldown to finish him for 3 rounds. That's why I put a Bloodfang up front.
Did Can you tell me which Breed you're using? Perhaps my version doesn't work out with other breeds, although mathematically it should!
