Strategy has been updated with clearer instructions, and due to Mana Surge's variable damage the Nexus Whelpling has been breed restricted to help with the RNG

nexus whelpling didn't work for me (it needed a second hit of mana surge to kill) but Lil' Tarecgosa worked great

This strat doesnt work. Bringing Yu'la in half life gets it killed on the first pass. Bringing it in full life allows actions to be taken but the play through does not follow the expected from the strategy given. The closest I have been able to get: Skip steps 2-4, Chrominius will die during recovery from Surge of Power, Bring in Yu'la, Step 3, Yu'la dies here. Bring in Nexus Whelpling, goto step 8 and hope for good RNG. This fight is extremely close even with these changes.

I used Nexus Whelping P/P, also tried P/S.

Worked for me in SL on the 1st try.
Yula had little life after Life Exchange + enemy hit, but was alive.
