Substitutes:

1
Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 2

Not as effective as Emerald Proto-whelp against the Flapper, but can fairly effectively solo(ish) all three opening Deviate creatures, plus can guarantee XP to a leveling pet.

In addition, this is a team that can handle all three of the opening teams, making it efficient to have around for the opening area.

EDITED February 04, 2019, to officially bring in Crawdad for healing.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

Still works fine in SL pp! Axebeak solo'd it. Note that the two steps with "if backup..." give the same instructions. I believe it means to say "use Haywire, then Alpha Strike" on the first "If backup" step.

Whoops! This is correct! I have corrected the instructions. Thank you!

Presently testing a variety of this strategy using Magical Crawdad as the back line pet. Wish to test more before I make it official in the strategy, but for those wondering, changes to technique are so:

After second pet (or if Axebeak is at low health), swap in Crawdad. Renewing Mists, Wish, swap Axebeak back in for heal.

So far seems very effective and still very fast, but have only tested on one week so far. Was able to allow Axebeak to 'solo' all three Deviate teams, with leveling pet getting XP each time.

Tested team repeatedly. Found it very effective, so I officially edited the battle to include it.
