Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Ultimately, this worked, but Feathers did not lift off in the first two turns for me so Slimeling died before Feathers did. Was able to mop up with the rest of the pets.

I didn't have Sanctum Cub so I put in Disgusting Oozeling in its place with the same actions as the Oily Slimeling. Worked great the first time.

thebl4ckd0g wrote on 2019-04-13 19:36:56

this is a pretty horrible strategy as it is show on the site. you get wiped out, and the last pet on the enemy team is still at 50-75%. Either this is really RNG heavy, or Blizzard changed something after this strategy was posted. :(

Just ran it and it worked fine. I'm not sure where the problem came in, since you didn't give any details, and I was even hit with Feathers' Nocturnal Strike on my Slimeling. You might have a different breed of Oily Slimeling, (mine is H/P, 1546 hp and 260 power), and all my pets have been upgraded to rare. I ended the fight with my last pet at around 75% hp.

Weasei

wrote on 2019-03-19 15:31:43

Got a lucky crit with my first Expunge so Splat ended up killing itself to take out my Oily Slimeling so just skipped straight to Arcane Eye. Cheers for strat!

Xan wrote on 2019-03-04 04:05:02

Another lineup that worked Viscidus Globule (H/S) 1,2,1; Netherspawn, Spawn of Netherspawn (H/P) 2,1,2; Enchanted Broom (1,1,2). Broom ended fight with 75% hp. ymmv

Niénna wrote on 2019-02-11 12:41:27

Eldricht Manafriend (1,1,1) worked well instead of Sanctum Cub. Used Amplify Magic, then Arcane Storm and Arcane Blast until dead.

zaftig

wrote on 2019-02-20 02:30:47

This worked for me. Arcane eye finished the fight with plenty of HP after Drain Power and one round of Mana Surge.

Askania

wrote on 2019-02-07 10:43:13

I replaced arcane eye with viscous horror evolution gives you a powerful hit if the rng is bad for the other 2

I ended up using a combo of what is here. Erudite Manafiend (1,2,1); Arcane Eye (2,2,2); Mini Mindslayer (2,1,*). Worked out the gate.

Srindya wrote on 2019-01-30 14:26:42

Those worked great for me. Thanks

Drahken wrote on 2018-12-30 20:15:16

My solution for any fight that requires a lot of magic damage, or really just a lot of fights in general is to bring in a Nordrassil Wisp as my first pet, and then a Festival Lantern.

They both have the combo of Flash (does good magic damage and blinds the target for two turns), and Light (deals good magic damage, plus double if they're blinded). The Wisp then has Arcane Explosion to just hit the whole enemy team for a little magic damage, and the Lantern has Beam for solid magic damage in between FlashLights. For the third, I've historically liked Arcane Eye, but my new jam is Accursed Hexxer (purchasable for tokens in Nazmir). This fight in particular goes smooth like butter.

I just grabbed the first three Magic type pets with Arcane Blast (Acursed Hexxer, Brightpaw and Court Scribe fyi) and spammed nothing but Arcane Blast. I won on turn 13.

Hate_it wrote on 2018-12-15 12:57:41

Used mini mindslayer instead of arcane eye. Amplify magic + mana surge killed it

shockawocka

wrote on 2018-12-14 14:14:03

if you start with arcane eye 2,1,2 you can eyeblast and follow up with mana surge.. and then Psychic Blast til eyeblast is ready again, so when you bring in w/e pet (I used Brightpaw) you can finish splat, Brightpaw is great because it also has arcane dash to put some hurt on Brite, any oozeling (lvl 25) can finish the fight with expunge and ooze touch.
