Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
Unobtainable
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

This strat needs a little help. Lil' Siege Tower and Lil' War Machine cannot be paired, so I would suggest putting Blackfuse Bombling in one slot, and the two faction pets as options in the other slot. Maybe that will also fix that my faction pet was loaded with the wrong #3 skill in Rematch. It worked perfectly once I manually set it up! (edited)

If you see the little arrows underneath the pet. You can select over to the side until you come across the pet you have.
Then when you import to rematch it will select the pet you are currently toggled too. Hope that helps :-)

Thanks for the check-in! I do know how to choose alternate pets. Problem is, I have all three... and no one can actually use all three.

On further thought I suppose that's a limitation of the site itself as it's faction-agnostic. And it occurs to me that someone could fill both slots with two of the same pet.

And when I just tried to load a correct team, the first pet showed up with Explode as it should, which wasn't what happened the first time. So... all I can think of is maybe a note that users be aware of the faction limitations on those two pets.

I do understand what you're getting at and I thought about using Blackfuse with just one of them but that could potentially alienate half the population due to fraction etc.

It's sort of a risk I know and I havent really thought about what happens if someone has both H/H on both fractions (for the alliance) and whether it would load correctly.
I guess I just presumed it wouldn't allow it.

If its just one pet above that threshold, I'd put down Blackfuse for sure. Another option is list 2 H/H blackfuses and force people to change over to the other fraction specifics themselves.
Problem with that is its 18% collection rate for all 3 breeds so not very common.

Personally I run 2 H/H and a H/P Lil siege just for this situation but it's definitely something to think about and appreciate the feedback.

Spot question for ya; Lil siege or Lil war machine for primary to go with Blackfuse :-p I'm leaning towards little siege but I maybe biased ;-)

Eh, once I thought it through it's not really an issue I see easily resolved because of the faction barrier. Or... maybe ask a site admin if it'd be okay to load the same strat, but with different pets for each faction so it works better? Along with a clear label for each one that it's for X faction?

It's quite the pickle. It's a good strat though!
