If you're unlucky with the first pet with RNG, I would recommend just restarting. Your first pet needs to be alive into the second battle at least

This is based on the original 10.1 PTR tamer pets' stats/quality/etc. It might need adjustments on last-minute changes (potential nerfs).
Like it or not, this one will be one of the rare moments, when I recommend restarting the fight when a pet gets killed early (especially since we'll only need it once for the Family Battler). Of course, I didn't check all pets, but it feels like Bassalt is capable of killing any Aquatic pet within two rounds. |

Have not tested with different Otter breeds. I would imagine other breeds will work just fine. Skittering Eel must be faster than 309 speed to polish off Bassalt without taking damage if needed. Listed substitutes for Gahz'rooki should be fine.
