Arcantus has a speed of 263. If you are faster, as your P/S Spawn and S/S Wild Crimson are, then the weather will remain at Arcane Winds throughout, making Arcantus hit much harder.
I tried a couple of tests, and found that the dragonkin will usually get only one Deep Breath hit in before dying. Then with the Starlette, we get the vague "until Explode will kill Arcantus".
H/H Explode will do 690
P/P Explode will do 560
Edit: Oh, I noticed the Level pet already has a health constraint of HP > 460. That should be OK.
I don't feel like working out the numbers for all the possible breeds now, but I think it's safe to say that this strat will work for some combinations of stats, but not others. (edited)
