My Little Fawn died halfway through the 2nd pet. Fortunately, I had a Rescued Fawn with Hoof instead of Stampede. Kept the same strat (Nature's Ward always up and Bleat on CD) and worked perfectly. Takes forever though. But thanks !

I tried to speed it up by using the random pets first, but they got smoked, fawn died due to the blast, it's heals aren't enough to combat Pounder.

I recommend starting off with a good damage dealer, then go to Fawn, and have a backup 3rd pet in case things go wrong to speed it up a bit. I tried Crispin, who almost took both 2 pets by itself.

So this strategy was very clearly working, but as stated slow. I reached past turn 40 three attempts in a row when the game dc'd me. Coincadence or is there some bug in pet battles causing a dc after some number of turns?

I used an HB Little Fawn and it actually died after 10 minutes against the last opponent. Had Rhapana Whelk and Deepwood Leaper as 2nd and 3rd pet, which then won the fight. Would have been quite annoyed if it hadn't worked at all, given how much times this battle takes. So I recommend to chose your 2nd and 3rd pet wisely, just in case. Have an evade/dive and/or heal mechanic to survive the detonate.
