RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Why isn't this strategy tagged RNG? It fails far more often than it succeeds. There is absolutely no way to win unless a) the first pet misses with most of its moth balls and b) the 3rd pet gets bad luck with its crits. I even had one attempt where EVERY moth balls missed, bringing me to the 3rd pet with my 2nd pet at half health...and I still lost because that third pet crit every hit.

After 50 frustrating attempts at this, I give up. There is no way I'm ever going to win with this strategy.

Definitely a lot of RNG here, but not much you can do about that. I wrote an ugly script - it adjusts things such that you don't use Soul Rush against the second enemy, doubling your chances for a stun against the last one. I found this worked better; ymmv.

if [self(#1).active]
use(Moon Dance:980) [!self.aura(Moon Dance:981).exists]
use(Soulrush:752) [enemy.hp>658]
use(Moonfire:595) [enemy.hp>395]
use(Dark Talon:1233)
endif

if [enemy(#2).active]
use(Moonfire:595) [!weather(Moonlight:596)]
use(Dark Talon:1233)
endif

use(Soulrush:752)
use(Moonfire:595)
use(Dark Talon:1233)

worst tatics ever really does not work you will die every time

(OP) Noctus

wrote on 2020-12-28 20:56:18

i didnt see anything by you when i made this. it worked for me and was tagged rng due to the bosses rng factor that cant be moved around. how about instead of trashing and being negative you be constructive and state what didnt work so we can learn, or better yet post your own

Paul wrote on 2021-01-17 10:50:12

in fairness, it's better to not post anything at all than post something bad.

Khes

wrote on 2021-01-09 18:57:33

between the slow of mothballs, and the fact that wasting a turn to get 1 turn ahead for only 3 turns of the battle with moondance... it kind of feels like a waste, it doesn't actually get you any extra attacks that aren't already negated through the rng of this fight.

i have tried it skipping moondance first turn and had nearly the exact same success due to the rng.

I did have limited success searching my flyers for magic damage dealers. I used Squawkling hp 2-1-1, Wild Etherwyrm hp 2, 1, 1, and Vibrant Glimmerfly bb 1, 2, 2. Beat it one time but when I went back to test it again, the RNG killed me the next 6 times till I gave up. Maybe this comment will give someone else a starting point to tinker with the idea. The Wild Etherwyrm's barrier seemed to really help me catch the moth dust/sleep before it interfered, and the Vibrant Glimmerfly's sweep has some potential to help you control which enemy you kill off first. Sorry I couldn't get consistent results.

Skyrene

wrote on 2020-12-30 09:03:34

Original failed every time. I tried an H/P Nightwreathed Watcher. Make sure to have Moonfire still up when Brite comes in to take advantage of the magic dmg increase for Dark Talon. Then I was able to use Dark Talon, Lift Off, Dark Talon and Bright was dead. Probably still RNG heavy.

Alok wrote on 2020-12-29 17:37:47

Never seen such terrible shit strategy!

Bobuliss

wrote on 2020-12-07 11:56:18

I only have 1 Sentinel's Companion at 25, so I did some trial and error and eventually won with a P/B Great Sea Albatross using Metabolic Boost and Lift Off. Use Lift Off to avoid Savage Talon when it's buffed with Rain Dance and use Metabolic Boost to make sure you go first as much as possible. Obviously, if the first moth puts you to sleep or hits too many times with Moth Balls, just forfeit and try again.

Bloodykisses#1688

wrote on 2020-12-17 19:28:57

good call on the P/B Great Sea Albatross. it finally worked after...a few ton more tries lol

Ozz

wrote on 2020-12-17 22:02:01

A pet with Surge of Adrenaline might also make it, or i got very lucky with P/P Dragonbone Hatchling

The moth balls RNG factor is too much.. full tilted

(OP) Noctus

wrote on 2020-12-08 21:05:19

yeah thats what was killing it for me with literally all strats i could find. why i tagged it rng. i know i got lucky on my testing (edited)

Sizzle#1759

wrote on 2020-12-07 11:34:50

this strat might work better if my raven wasn't put the sleep in the first round or hit 4 times in the 2nd round EVERY TIME I TRIED IT >:(

(OP) Noctus

wrote on 2020-12-08 21:04:36

ouch. yeah the mothballs was destroying everything i was trying till i did this. got lucky a few test runs with not getting hit by it more than twice. hence the RNG factor. that really destroys any strat anyone can find IMHO

Blahst wrote on 2020-12-07 18:16:09

Works eventually, just need to get a bit lucky. Pet 1 RNG factor aside (restarted each time I was stunned), the main problem was the last pet easily kills my sentinel in 2 or 3 hits every time. I finally won by my first sentinel landing a stun on the enemies final pet.
