Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.
This table shows the level increase for completing the fight with level 25 pets and one carry pet.

Worked on 1st try. Breath 1st, then Emerald Dream & Breath in between. Backline pets did die but my Emerald Proto-Whelp kicked his butt! TY :)

Yups, this strategy doesn't work, proto-whelp is dead after 5 rounds, no matter how many tries (Tried 15 times, all went poo). I've tried with both the P/P and P/B Whelp. The backline proto-whelp dies from the AOE Gelly is putting out in these first turns. :/

I breathed on first turn, then did emerald dream on turn 2, and it worked perfectly first try. Thank you.

Work great with P/P Proto Drake. Used Ability#2 as Emerald Presence

TD Script:

use(Emerald Presence:597) [self.aura(Emerald Presence:823).duration <= 1]
use(Emerald Dream:598) [self.hp<1400]
use(Breath:115)

Worked perfectly for me, i had ancient blessing as my 2nd ability, i used PP whelp

Turn 1 breath,
Turn 2 breath,
Turn 3 Ancient Blessing
Turn 4,5,6 Emerald Dream
Turn 7+ repeat as necessary

Repeated it 5 times, definitely works.

Tried your version and it worked a charm! Thanks!

The posted strat didn't even come close to working for me. My Proto is also PP, so not sure if that's what makes the difference between which moveset to go with.

Yes, this worked for me too, needed the second heal.

I used a Dream Whelpling instead and it worked beautifully, but took about 25 rounds. 2 2 2

Turn 1 Emerald Presence
Turn 2,3,4 Emerald Dream
Turn 5 Sleeping Gas
Turn 6 Emerald Presence
Turn 7 Sleeping Gas
Turn 8+ Repeat from Turn 2 until dead.

All other pets die from AOE attacks.

Worked great. Didn't have the other pets in the strategies but had this guy. Worked wonders. Took a while, but worked.

Worked fine with the TD script made by PunksNotDead#1432 I got critted on 2 tries and failed both, once I didn't get critted it was smooth sailing

Original strategy did not work, but the strategy by PunksNotDead#1432 in the comments worked perfectly, however it is a long fight 20+ turns

I changed it up a little bit for me and it worked perfectly. I also used Emerald Presence in my rotation. I made sure to keep Emerald Presence on. So each time when I had 1 round of cooldown left on my Emerald Dream I would use Emerald Presence. Worked like a charm and I never came close to death. It is a longer strat I might add.

1/3 tries with P/S EPW. Might need to add RNG or Breed tag. Thanks for posting!

Worked for me if you start with Emerald Dream, you get close to death a couple times but it pulls it off. My proto is 305/273/1400 I suppose it could work with the other two green whelps.
