Fun fact: The Erris/Kura dailies are not random, but on a rotation!
As there are five teams, they happen to line up with (also five) garrison town hall traders.
If you see one of these in your town hall, you can create a team before the fight!

How do these teams line up?
Herb Trader – Enbi'see, Mal, Bones
Ore Trader – Sprouts, Prince Charming, Runts
Dust Trader – Nicodemus, Brisby, Jenner
Fur Trader – Spores, Dusty, Salad
Leather Trader – Moon, Mouthy, Carl

For example, today in EU there's a herb trader, first pet is Enbi'see; US after this reset has a leather trader (first pet Moon).

Any samples of mnemotechnics? :) For example, dust is a fine kind of good and mice are also tiny.

EDIT: Rematch will identify the correct NPC and her team as well, so now all you need to do is target her and see the tamer frame within the addon! (edited)

But she can also be up, when there is no trader in town (like today - i Have Kura up, but not Trade in my Town Hall). And Kura has Sprouts team

If you hold the quest from a previous day she's up, she'll be up every day in your garrison as long as you never turn in (not sure about complete) or drop the quest.

I did not have any Draenor pet battle quest (only 3 pandaria fable ones). I do menagerie (and Kura if up) every day and instantly turn in after win.

The XP that Kura gives has been reduced. I was wearing my Safari Hat, and my level 23 pet only got 2200 XP. The High XP tag on the strategies says it should have got 3080 XP.

Which Kura was it? I vaguely remember a similar comment, and I thought there was something about the team with the level 23 on it giving less XP.

I'll check my alts' garrisons today and see if I can varify.

Yup, that's it. It's about the level 23 opponents. My level 16 got 4125 XP instead of 4813.

I'm nearly certain I had this discussion with Aranesh once before, and we both lookad at it and went .... "Ehhhh ....."

The full arithmetic of pet XP is explained in this awesome post by Jere: Link

In short, the XP your pet earns delends on your levelling pets' levels, and the levels and quantity of the opposing pets, multiplied by a scaling factor assigned to the Tamer, if there is a tamer.

Kura's scaling factor is 12.5, the standard scaling for "High XP", but her teams are of level 23 pets. This makes them give less XP. A whole different display table for same scaling with level 23 pets could be made, but it didn't seem worth the bother.

This is an awesome guide - but it maybe needs to be updated for the level squish so that people don't get too discouraged that they can't get to L100. :)

I love this strategy with the Enchanted Broom, I have 3 Boneshards and the Broom takes minimal damage. I have a auto key presser and can fight 3 battles in the 4 minutes between heals. Thanks for this site and all the contributors.

Can someone please inform me if you can still get the pets from the daily Lio the Lioness? All that comes up on the quest for me (after doing it day after day) are pet charms. I did this daily in WoD and didn't get all the pets. Now so many strategies want Firewing (which is one I never got). How do I get this pet? (edited)

so you can still get the pets that dropped in the bag back in wod from that daily. usually their dropchance is decent per character for as long as the pet didn't drop thus far.
however all of those pets are tradable and usually they are dirt cheap on the auction house, so i'd just look there if you need that pet.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, you just experienced Super Squirt Day in action. This is when Squirt (the only garrison tamer that gives decent xp) is up during the Pet Bonus Week. At that time you can level a pet from 1 to 25 in 2 battles and do it for the entire day. Her schedule will next coincide with the pet bonus week on May 24 in the US. Many pet type folks (like me!) plan their calendar around this day :) (edited)

Legion Family Familiar tamers (except Durian, maybe they forgot him) can now be battled repeatedly for full tamer XP whenever their world quest is up, So you can now get goodness equivalent to SuperSquirt each and every day of each and every pet week!

Squirt has a couple things going for him that the Legion Family Familiars don't.

First, his fight is pretty quick. With the right strat, Rematch and TDScript, you can complete a battle once every 1.5 minutes.

Second, Squirt has the benefit of a free pet heal/revive just six steps away. Even the Fight Night battles in Dalaran will force you to use bandages or fly to the other side of the city.

Oh sure, of the Tamer-level battles, Squirt is the most convenient, and maybe the fastest. But one of the others is available nearly all the time, and a Super version nearly all the time every pet week, so there is no need to centre your entire levelling program around one day every couple of weeks. I don't know about you, but I have a lifetime supply of bandages spread across many alts, and even if you're new enough not to be swimming in them, they are still pretty cheap for Charms.

Wonder if someone can help.
Before BFA the battles in Draenor Menagerie was repeatable, now you only get the 1 battle daily with them. Not the Daily quest, just the battles, you could keep fighting them all day if you wanted.
Is this right now or does anyone know will it be changed back?

It has been that way for a while but since the xp on these fights was negligable it would probably be better to do the Battle Pet Tamers weekly achievement in drarnor and pandaria and the individual tamers azeroth wide to level pets or just fight regular wild pets. Also Darkmoon fair is only one a day too now when that is active. All these restrictions are account wide... like when they made it so you could only get one Blingtron a day... annoyng but working as intended :)

ok yesterday i also did the regular fight which was i think Manos Hanos and Fatos my pet got 79xp today it was deebs tyri and puzzle and my pet got 14,493 xp.. Yay Blizz!

I'm not sure if its, just me, but I see the alternates are showing up differently, and don't seem to be "mousable" so that you can see what they are before clicking on them. In particular Erris, which changes so you need to figure out what team you are fighting before you pick a strategy. Is it possible to change it back to allow us to mouse over before we select an alternativew?

If you have the pet battle add on you can go to options at the bottom of your pet collections screen and choose show notes, of notes still do not appear then once the battle has started at the bottom right next to Game Menu is a new button called Batle Strategy this will allow you to search for the notes

You need to have an active Authenticator on your account. Buying one, using it then deactivating it will leave the Pup in your pet inventory but disabled.

Yep I even had the pet and was using the authenticator on my second account but one day the pet stopped working although i was still using the authenticator. Come to find I had never officially activated it on this account so i had to do that and now I can use it again... working as intended ;p

Hi, Can you help I have just started pet battling, Iv got lots of pet from level 1-25. I want to do daily's. but when I get to pet tamers I don't get option to fight. My alts are level 100 and 120.
I know I must be doing something wrong but can work it out and the WOW help don't help. can you please???

To unlock dailies up to Pandaria Masters, you need to complete the initial questline which started when you had learned your Battle Pet Training.
Depending on your faction, you need to venture through Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor until you get to Grand Masters. You can find the quest names here:

Then you fight Outland, Northrend, Cataclysm and Pandaria tamers. These quests have the same structure as the Battle Pet Tamers: Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor in that you can fight regular tamers from one continent in any order, unlike the very first quests. Each stage ends with a quest to defeat a Grand Tamer (Antari, Payne, Obalis, Aki) and (except the final tamer) interaction with your guide.

After defeating Aki, you unlock Spirit Tamers and Beasts of Fable as well. Good luck and a great roster!

Once you've completed this questline on one faction, your guide of the other one may offer several stages of this questline at once. This is because for later quests, the progress on one side is identified as progress on the other, too. Don't be afraid! :) (edited)

Hi, new battler here. I am wondering, how does one import the notes as well as the teams into Rematch? I mean, if I import the teams, are the notes included or do they have to be added separately, and if so, is it just copy and paste each one or is there a faster way?

I just copy and paste notes. I'd like it to import notes too, but the addon is amazing as is, so I don't mind the extra small step.

But I would need to know which one is active on the other regions than EU on a given day. I do believe they are not synchronized anymore. Especially for the asian regions I have no way of checking.
