I got this to work but I was wondering something.

When the Idol comes in the boss is already in his maintenance mode - you killed him once and he resurrected. Why not just use Sandstorm instead of having him have Stoneskin. Stoneskin isn't used and instead of punching the boss you could just nuke him?

I don't know, and haven't tried it, but I have two initial thoughts:

1. This strat was originally made before the irrationally-overpowered Sandstorm buff and

2. Sandstorm introduces RNG, and it could be very frustrating if you need just one little extra hit with Crush and keep missing.

Strat-setters like to avoid RNG when possible.

Confirming that this worked for me first try as-is.

I am reading that some people are having issues this strategy and it was asked if Breed could be a factor.

I think RNG is more likely a factor for those who are failing. The pets listed in this strategy only have one Breed possible each. The only way Breed could be a variable depends on which 2nd pet substitute option is used.

For those who can't get it to work, it might have been a little lucky on RNG somewhere too but from what is being said could there be type issues for the strat? A PS Corefire Imp and a PP Rotten Little Helper wiped Minixis without needing the Anubisath Idol at all.

It worked with the listed pets, but only after I changed it up a little (my Rotten Little Helper could not make it to the 2nd Blizzard). Imp 2/2/2 (Rush is strong against Critters). Fight till Imp death instead of switching out, but make sure to get Wild Magic refreshed before Imp dies. Anubisath 1/1/1. Wait for the Crouch before using Anubisath's Deflection, or you might waste the ability. Otherwise, keep Sandstorm up and fill with Crush. Had Rotten Lil Helper as backup, but never used. Took 14 rounds. Edited for clarity. (edited)

Strategy that worked for me: Anubisath (*, 1, 1), Kun-Lai Runt (2, 2, 2), Any Imp (Flamethrower).

Turn 1 - Deflection
Turn 2 - Switch in Kun-Lai Runt
Turn 3-5 - Frost Shock, Deep Freeze, Takedown
Turn 6 - Switch back Anubisath, Sandstorm and Deflection (ideally has some health left to catch last Cannon)
Repeat steps 2-5. If Anubisath dies and cannot take the third cannon, switch in an imp, flamethrower and die.

RNG - I managed to stun him on both Deep Freezes. (edited)

Allthough Rotten little Helper didn't survive after Ice Tomb, the other 2 pets managed the fight quite good. Thanks for sharing the strategy.
