I think my favorite was Eye Of Corruption with Chaos Beam x 2, Curse of Doom, Nightmare for its moves but it ended up being just as fast. Dibbler was a more common pet I decided. There might be ranges where savage talon fails, but I haven't had it happen. I'm using savage talon since it more often than not saves a turn. If it doesn't work for you, try using quills. It worked, but the script is off from the written steps. The very first step has Lil'Bling using Make it Rain in the text, but when I hit auto Extra Plating was performed, the second step the text has Extra Plating, but when I hit auto Make it Rain was performed. All the steps after that, I believe, was accurate.

Edit: I just remembered, even though Lil'Bling was still alive, instead of performing the second Make it Rain on step 6, it swapped to Iron Starlette. (editiert)

There are several people who investigate reports of problems with strategies on Xu-Fu's. There are designated Strategy Curators, and other regulars who read comments and are interested in the latest.

In my experience, when people leave a short "It didn't work" or "RNG" note, they usually made a mistake. Maybe they used a pet with the wrong Speed, maybe they didn't do a Pass where it was indicated, sometimes they were even using the team and strat from a completely different battle. :)

Sometimes there genuinely is a problem with the strat. This is where the Curators and others come in, checking the strat for weaknesses, and fixing it or removing it if it can't be fixed.

Since most failure reports with no details are wrong, it's not good to waste people's time investigating them. Instead, help them by providing the information they need.

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Almost any strat can fail to a really unlucky string of crits, and some difficult challenge strats like the Family ones may fail more than anyone likes, but the people behind this site do their best to promote well-working strats. Do your part. Provide useful information.

I appreciate your detailed comment and message received. You should take your bullet points and, if they aren't already, make a template for bug reports that one can fill out. It would help to ensure that the appropriate folks are getting the information they need. Maybe make a gist on github or something. That said, I do have one issue with your proposal(s). While it might be useful to specify which pet breed was used and failed, if the breed is not specified in the strategy, it should be less important which breed was used.

At this time, I do not remember the details of the fight that provoked me to post my less-than-useful comment. If I can run it again, and experience the same difficulty, I will repost and elaborate as requested.

As for specifying breeds, it certainly can be relevant even if the breed used is one of those listed. A strat might claim to be suitable for a H/P or P/P, but in trying to reconstruct a failure condition from the arithmetic, it can be critical to know which one failed.

It is also very relevant when people claim a failure when they didn't realise that theu were using an unlisted breed, of course - which is not uncommon.

For me, the RNG problem came in with Rocko: he spammed his heal multiple times in a row, leaving him with too much HP for Curse of Doom to take him out/take him low enough for Shadow Slash to finish him before he killed my Val'kyr. Because she had to resurrect, and thus died the same turn Rocko did, it counted as a loss.

OK, that's some information. Rocko's heal is supposed to last three rounds, so that is not unusual.

Confirm: Did Spindler die in Round 9?
What breed of Starlette were you using?

Just to add, using the team and TD script I too had them die the same round (P/P Starlet, H/H Valk, not sure exact turn Spindler died, but around the right time in sequence). I still won the fight because my Bling was still alive, having swapped out the turn he died first, then jumping back to life after the swap.

OK, so I just tried it quickly with a P/P Starlette and a H/H Valk, and it worked fine for me three times. I logged the battle, but didn't go into a lot of depth with the arithmetic.

Assuming you get to the final face-off between the Valk and Rocko ok, with the Starlette having done its job of forcing Rocko to initiate his Stoneform heal, there is some RNG in the amount of damage done by Shadow Slash, because that has a damage range, and it is a fairly close win, but it looks like the RNG will be acceptable.

Edit: I thought there might be a slightly more certain sequence with a P/P Starlette, but it turns out to be a little less reliable,, so the strat as written stands even for a P/P. (editiert)

So the issue I ran into is the TD script differs from the plan listed. The biggest difference is that Bling is swapped out when Spindler comes in, rather than waiting til Bling dies and bringing in Starlette. When Bling is manually swapped out, Stoneform happens while Starlette is still alive and the script has him just spam Smoke. When Bling dies to Spindler Stoneform occurs after Starlette dies, affording UV time to get the curse rolling.

Edit: Since updating the script (changes made to lines 4 & 5) to account for this, I've gone from 0/3 to 6/6.

Mixed this one with another Iron Starlette one and it work ( with probable RNG, I had luck )

Tinytron - 212 ( opening with Fire shield, then Lightning shield, then Flamwthrower until death )

Iron Starlette (P/P breed) - 111 ( classic Wind-up, Supercharge, Wind-up ), then Powerball (but Toxic smoke might work better) until death

Unborn Val'kyr - 12* - as in this strategy, so Curse of Doom, then Shadow Slash.

Finished with 215 HP on my Val'kyr, but it worked !

Worked on first try testing it today, though valkyr only had 100hp left at the end haha. Didn't have any of the other working teams for this fight yet, so im glad to at least have this one! If someone could make a td script thatd be very helpful as well!

S/S Lil Bling, P/S Iron Starlette, H/H Unborn Valkyr was the breeds i used in my team and worked first try, not sure if other breeds might work better or not, but my valkyr only survived due to being H/H.

There seems to be a threshold where Rocko uses his heal, and I found armageddon into savage talon puts him just in range to get nuked by Iron Starlette while still being out of his heal range. There might be ranges where savage talon fails, but I haven't had it happen. I'm using savage talon since it more often than not saves a turn. If it doesn't work for you, try using quills.
