I initially tried the Xu-Fu in the third slot strats, by trying a couple of other pets in those fights with similar-ish abilities as Xu-Fu, but the ability BITE isn't strong enough if they're going to take out a flying pet. So I decided to give the Scabby/Xu-Fu/Feline Familiar strat a shot, and tried once again to find other pets to stand in for Xu-Fu. In comes the Lost Netherpup, who also lives long enough to take the Lift-Off, giving you all the breathing room you need for that last pet :D Have fun, y'all non-Xu-Fu owners! That heavily reduces the chance of failing and doesn't require a specific breed. It worked for me 9 out of 10 times. You might have to restart if Bile Larva fails to kill first pet, you need it to survive so that it can apply acidic goo on the second pet. You can replace Moon-Moon with Feline Familiar (1/X/2). Thank you, commenters! Always glad to see when a strat works, even if there's a little RNG to it/works with a different breed.

I needed to find a way around Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen, as I didn't want to go level my monk in the middle of the achievement progress, I figured with as many pets as I have, there MUST be another way.

I initially tried the Xu-Fu in the third slot strats, by trying a couple of other pets in those fights with similar-ish abilities as Xu-Fu, but the ability BITE isn't strong enough if they're going to take out a flying pet.

So I decided to give the Scabby/Xu-Fu/Feline Familiar strat a shot, and tried once again to find other pets to stand in for Xu-Fu. In comes the Lost Netherpup, who also lives long enough to take the Lift-Off, giving you all the breathing room you need for that last pet :D

I think the script would be better if you only checked if the enemy pet 1 dies before our pet 1. That way you leave the option of lucky crits open (which was my case)

tried 3 times in a row, and 1st time - it killed both my first 2 pets while still on their 2nd one. the big thing is - you need to note: if you don't get howl off first, you need to reset the fight - as both pets are even speeds, it's luck of the draw if you go first or not. If you do, you can try the rest of the strat... also after the first howl if the strat works - you mention swap. I think the swap is what killed my feline familiar.

Strat worked, but the RNG is extreme. Even if you're lucky enough in RNG to have Fel pup able to take down Bloog, the chances of your Feling familiar surviving long enough to use Call darkness is almost zero. The entire strat hinges on being able to get Call darkness off. If you can, you will win. (edited)

The Fel Pup and Bloog have the same speed so each turn appears to be a 50/50 on who goes first, making this strat extremely frustrating to execute. I was not able to get it after 5 attempts so I gave up.

This misses every time I try this strat because of burrow. I tried it 8 times in a row, every single time the enemy pet went first so candidly I just don't believe that this strat works.

Edit: Sorry to clarify even when you go first and don't die to burrow the strat still does not work. (edited)

even though my fel pup is a ninja, it couldnt possibly land the bite in turn 2, because the bloog would be already underground.
so i started with crouch in turn 1, followed by howl and diseased bite.
the rest of the strat worked great!

Feline Familiar can't take two hits from Bonecrusher. When you use Prowl, you then go second, so I never land Call Darkness as FF is already dead.

So I decided to give the Scabby/Xu-Fu/Feline Familiar strat a shot, and tried once again to find other pets to stand in for Xu-Fu. In comes the Lost Netherpup, who also lives long enough to take the Lift-Off, giving you all the breathing room you need for that last pet :D Have fun, y'all non-Xu-Fu owners! fAb#2203	Beast pets do +25% increased damage when they are below half health. This tactic takes advantage of that by using dmg modifiers first and then the heavy nukes. That heavily reduces the chance of failing and doesn't require a specific breed. It worked for me 9 out of 10 times. You might have to restart if Bile Larva fails to kill first pet, you need it to survive so that it can apply acidic goo on the second pet. You can replace Moon-Moon with Feline Familiar (1/X/2).
