My P/P Kun-Lai Runt dealt with Mist Wraith and Crawdead, but died to Gnaw after getting in one Frost Shock and Takedown each. Gnaw proceeded to... well... gnaw through my second pet (P/B Globe Yeti). Fortunately, a generic attack from my third pet (H/H Rook) finished off the enemy. (edited)

My P/P Runt could not get Deep Freeze off before Mist Wraith's Dodge, blowing this strategy up in Step 2. P/S Runt worked perfectly though. Might want to check to see if a P/S or P/B requirement should be included for the Runt.

Used this strat with Hogs 1-1-1 as 2nd and a lvl 16 Curious Oracle Hatchling at 3rd to level. While Gnaw was stunned in R20, swapped lvl pet in and out. After KLR died, brought in Hogs - Headbutt once, Vicious Slice, done. Got 5 levels and closer to FF.

My Kun Lai Runt died either at start of Gnaw or just before 2 times I tried to put in a level pet and as a result Gnaw killed my level 25 backup pet. As soon as I put 2 x level 25 backups to take care of Gnaw he almost soloed it. Must've been bad RNG first 2 attempts

Good question. Jarruns pets are very strong against humanoids. When I initially tried, I had a very hard time finding something that works. Kun-Lai Runt wasn't one of my first picks and I discovered this one only after Mustatche and Galladriel made me aware of it.
I'll remove the skull now though, you're right - it's misleading :-)

My Kun-Lai Runt is P/B, and thanks to the Humanoid buff, he lasted nicely until Gnaw was fnished off. I had good ol' Anubisath Idol as a backup just in case. Great strat, thanks very much!

An absolutely BEAUTIFUL strat - so precise.

Worked for me with P/P, P/S and P/B breeds, but the Runt was very low near the end, and I can believe a bit of RNG might tip the scales against it. However, Gnaw was in one-hit range by then as well, so any backup pet should have had no problems finishing up.
