RNG. Took several attempts to get him down. If you get lucky with a stun, you will win. If not, it all comes down to your 3rd rando pet. Some beast pets simply cannot finish the fight.

I had to add a Leap and I had a 2nd Anklerender in my 3rd slot that I had to do the Black Claw/ Hunting Party combo to kill him. Great strat, just needed a couple more steps after :D

9.1 Did not work as written and I don't think I had any bad RNG from crits or anything (not 100% sure). Mob had about 400HP left at the end of this guide. I had the foresight for an "in case" pet in my 3rd slot and chose something with a strong undead attack. For me that was Fel Pup with Howl/Diseased bite, which did the trick. This still gets my upvote because it was close enough for me to tweak (edited)

Failed miserably the first time. The second time I put in a Feline Familiar in slot 3, per some advice earlier. But I also swapped in a P/S Anklerender instead of the SS it had loaded by default. I won with the Anklerender having 75% of his health left.

Strategy still works on SL! I was a bit lucky and my Vulcano stunned him on first "eruption", maybe a thing of RNG... but only thing I needet to Change was a Jump at the End to finish him up, cause with the Change to the Swarm it doesn't apply full damage at first run, so it is now a bit weaker on first hit... maybe this was why I needet a "Jump" at the End to finish him up...
But even with this I would say this strategy is valid even in SL ;)

The Zandalari Anklerender did just a tad damage too short. Swapped the 3rd random pet for another Zandalari with Black Claw and Hunting Party... et voila! (if your first Zandaliri still has health enough, it might be an idea that you already put another Black Claw on, this way you can immediatly start with Hunting party when your last Zandalari comes in. But need to add, I didn't tested it this way. Cheers (edited)

Worked in SHADOLANDS PREPATCH. I had to use leap to finish of a slither of health. You might want to put a second Anklebiter in slot three as backup.

Rather than a rando, throw in a Lost Netherpup and Shadow Shock your way to the finish. This isn't enough of a sure thing to leave the last spot rando.

Summit Kid, Vicious Broodling and Cinder Pup worked. Follow this strategy:

Summit kid --> Chew, Stampede (summit kid dies)
Vicious Broodling --> Rend, Rend, Drain Blood, Burrow, Rend (broodling dies)
Cinder Pup --> Crouch, Howl, Flame Breath until he's dead...GG
