Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Medium XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
Shop
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Your standby won't work correctly if it's below your change(next) -- it'll just swap to your next pet.

I usually throw a standby at the end of a script for stunning, etc. It does not have any other practical use than that.

Yes, but if you do get stunned, putting the standby below the change means you won't standby, you'll just change.

Changing pets is better, as you'll get a larger health pool in what should be a fresh pet (that uses the same skill). Only if you cannot change pets (IE, 1 and 2 are dead), does the "standby" go into effect preventing the script from stalling :)

Fair enough

ETA: However, the lines of your strat don't indicate any passes for stuns, or swapping if stunned, which might lead to some confusion on the part of the strat users. Generally, it's best not to have the instructions differ from what the script will do.

Here it might not be a big deal, but on a more complex strat it might. (edited)

Well, its not "important" as such, and it is situational. I just use it as an "anti stalling measure" (always try to make a script as "foolproof" as i can).. but in this particular fight, it is not needed as the first pet usually soloes the fight :)
