High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Thanks for the great strat! Used this script for the fight:

use(212) [round=2]
use(609)
use(456)
use(452)
use(#1)

Kashi wrote on 2019-01-01 12:07:26

Didn't have the Broom so I used a slight variation of the "normal" tactic:

Court Scribe (1,2,2)
Mailemental (2,2,2)
some other lvl25 (wasn't necessary)

1. Curse of Doom
2. Arcane Blast
3. Amplify Magic
4. Arcane Blast
5. Arcane Blast (Coach dies)
6. Arcane Blast (Scribe dies, Mailemental comes in)
7. Hate Mail
8. Junk Mail (Greatest Foe dies)
9. Express Delivery (Sir Murkeston dies)

rather easy ;)

+1 Court Scribe-Mailemental is the combo I settled upon as well after using the Court Scribe-Surger leveling strategy countless times. I used a slightly different move order than yours, but similarly didn't even need the third pet.

as at 8.1 i found the second strat - with lantern/abyssius + third pet much easier. Idk if this is due to rng or pet changes but if you're stuck try the lantern one!

chui wrote on 2018-08-24 23:36:10

My voidcaller wasn't leveled up yet, and I didn't have the lantern from the other alternative, so I went with a (1,2,2) Lofty Libram, the Enchanted Broom, and a (2/1/1) Hyjal Wisp for the third pet. Because Murkston used his big move to kill my broom, he was stunned when the wisp came in, 2 Arcane Blasts with one Evanescence tossed in there to block any damage, and my wisp ended the fight at 100% hp.

wrote on 2018-08-24 22:47:46

I didn't have the Lesser Voidcaller so I ended up going with: Enchanted Broom (1, 1, 1), Mini Mindslayer (2, 1, 2) and Twilight Fiendling (1, 1, 1)...it was very close but it worked!

Paww

wrote on 2017-12-17 04:02:23

So not sure if it will work for everyone, but I didn't have most of these pets. So, new strat:
Hungering Claw (2,2,2)
Netherspace Abyssal (1,1,1)
Servant of Demidos (1,1,1) (probably easily replaceable)

Curse of Doom
Call Darkness (Coach in)
Shadow Shock
Shadow Shock
Shadow Shock
Shadow Shock (Coach Dead)
Curse of Doom (hits Murk again before swapping out)
Claw dies
Crush
Meteor
Crush (Foe dies)
Crush
Abyssal dies
At this point, Murc has only 400ish HP left; I used Lightening Shield to take him out, but many different pets could be used.

Good luck!

And in the most embarassing pet battle experience ever, I saw "any magic pet" and chose the first one in my list, which happened to be the Elekk Plushie.

Spoilers: "any" doesn't quite mean "any"

Kathleene wrote on 2017-10-14 17:50:50

I had to restart this battle once, but it worked perfectly the second time. My L21 Court Scribe came in with a couple of Arcane Blasts, finished the job, and reached L25. Nice strategy. Thanks, folks.

auschameleon wrote on 2017-08-17 06:00:13

nightmare bell instead of enchanted broom, didn't need 3rd pet.

Lac wrote on 2017-06-25 17:33:55

Tried 5 times, Voidcaller died each before killing the first pet...

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-06-02 22:46:25

I hate straight-up copying strats for these fights.
I much prefer finding my own way and posting it for others who are struggling.
That said, I used the 'Voidie in slot 1 until it dies' tactic here, then I switched to a duo of Eldritch Manafiends with 1/1/2.
I used Arc Blast with the 1st EMf on turn 1, just to bring the 2-round Amp Magic on turn 2 into play for the Voidie's 2nd Curse of Doom.
Soulrush and that's Greatest Foe dead.
Amp Magic > Soulrush with EMf#2 and Murkeston is toast.
Very quick, no-contest fight.

Try Chick wrote on 2017-04-01 16:07:40

I don't have enchanted broom, so I used Netherspawn (1,2,1) as second pet and did poison spit, expunge and nether blast until it died. Then used Enchanted cauldron (2,1,1,). Started with whirlpool, then burned til his last pet died.

neon wrote on 2017-03-12 17:22:44

Hyjal wisp (2,1,1) is what I used in place of enchanted broom. I didnt have a broom. Murkeston had around 400 life my 3rd pet had to finish off.

Jirki88 wrote on 2016-12-18 03:39:03

Really need to start noting down the damn breeds in the strategies, because this is a great example of one where it doesn't work at all if you don't have the right breed. And the strategy don't note which the right breed is, which means it's a damn waste of time.

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-12-18 05:48:56

Hey Jirki88!
Little flaw in your request - both pets in this setup come in only one single breed. The only variables here is what pet you bring in the third slot, and random factors like crits - no guide can change that.
That being said, please keep it civil in your choice of language, thank you :-)

Andy wrote on 2016-12-18 21:43:13

WOW, someone offers a free service and people are not happy. I found the strat good and as mentioned breed is not an issue. TY for the strat.

strumpett wrote on 2017-01-21 11:45:11

I am extremely happy somebody is taking the time to do this, Immensely helpful and very thankful. That being said, the lesser voidcaller comes in 4 varieties.

Kabbie wrote on 2017-01-21 16:39:07

I used a B/B Lesser Voidcaller, it didn't last through Coach.

David G wrote on 2017-01-21 17:09:16

Aranesh. Little flaw in your response. Lesser Voidcaller comes in four breeds: H/P B/B H/H and H/S. So Jirki88 does have a valid point. Yes, he could have been more civil about it, but the underlying issue stands: you do want to use an H/H breed Voidcaller in this fight.

It is true that there is no breed of Voidcaller than guarantees 100% success chance, but an H/H has a significantly better chance than any other breed. Here's why. Coach's two main damage dealing attacks: Lift Off and Thrash, both have a huge random component. Lift Off in the journal shows 24 to 36, meaning maximum damage is 50% greater than minimum. Likewise Thrash hits once or twice plus once if he's faster (which he always is). Again, that's maximum damage 50% greater than minimum.

Due to this, the larger health on the H/H means it has a greater chance of successfully killing Coach than any other breed. It has a health pool of 1766 while the next down are H/P and H/S at 1587. That's a 179 point difference, which is enough to make the difference with an extra strike of Thrash at 174 points per hit.

Salmanius wrote on 2017-01-21 21:17:02

I had a H/S voidwalker who died before coach did, so the Broom finished off Coach, and the 3rd pet finished off the dragon and the murloc. With the magic breed passive, I found being one turn off didn't affect me at all even when using a level 18 magic pet.

Muqaddisa wrote on 2017-01-29 05:03:59

I've only got H/P Lesser Voidcaller and it did the trick and the fight went exactly according to tactics. I used Minfernal (P/B) as the 3rd pet, hit Immolate and Immolation and Sir Murkieston was dead.

Aranesh

wrote on 2017-02-09 05:42:06

My apologies, that was a clear oversight from my end. I made a note on the strategy now.

Star wrote on 2017-03-04 17:39:40

While Jirki88 was correct, I agree there was no call to be so rude. Simply saying "This strategy needs a breed recommendation of H/P as the others don't stay alive along enough" would have sufficed. Thank you Aranesh for this site. It's definitely a favorite of mine for when I get stuck on a pet battle. :)

Star wrote on 2017-03-04 17:37:47

Here's the strategy that worked for me. I used a H/H Voidcaller just for the record.

Voidcaller (1, 2, 1)
Arcane Eye (1, 2, 2)
Netherspace Abyssal (1, 1, 1) (I used P/S breed which I think turned out to be important since it goes faster than the Murloc and I don't think the other breeds do).

T1: Voidcaller casts Curse of Doom
T2: Prismatic Barrier
T3: Switch to Arcane Eye. Coach Lifts Off
T4: Barrier blocks Coach's attack. Pass.
T5: Coach's attack breaks barrier (I think should have attacked in this round but didn't. My bad)
T6: Arcane Eye drain power
T7: Mana Surge
T8: Mana Surge continues killing Coach
T9: Mana surge continues attacking Greatest Foe
T10: Greatest Foe kills Arcane Eye, bring in Netherspace Abyssal.
T11-T13: Crush until Greatest Foe is dead.
T14 - T15 - Meteor Strike which evades Sir Murkeston Falling Murloc attack
T16: Crush finishes the fight.

I didn't have to bring in my Voidcaller again but it was still alive on back up in case I needed to finish murloc off with Shadow Shock.
