Unborn Valkyr (2-2-2)
Ghostly Skull (1-1-2)
Scourged Whelpling (1-1-1)

Put up Curse of Doom. Then use Shadow Shock until both pets die. When your pet ressurrects use Unholy Ascension .

Ghostly Skull comes in. Use Shadow Slash until Helpful Spirit dies. Use Shadow Slash one more time when Helpful Spirit ressurrects.

Use Ghosly Bite on Delicate Moth. You will die first, but the ressurrect ensures you will still hit with Ghostly Bite.

Your Scourged Whelpling comes in. Use Shadow Flame until the Moth dies. Your pet will die too, but it will ressurrect just in time to finish the battle.

(Looking back, I think the Scourged Whelpling maybe should have used Tail Sweep instead of Shadow Flame, but Shadow Flame did the trick for me as well).

I didn't have Ghostly Skull so I used Ghastly Rat. I think this is a better choice cause this pet has Flurry which is super effective againt the second pet and also has the Ghostly Bite.

My Ghostly Skull was slept when he ressed and didn't get the bite off.

Tried again and he got the bite off before dying.
I switched to Tail Sweep as you were thinking, and I also started off with Call Darkness.

Unborn Valkyr 222 Ghastly Kid 121 Any Undead (used scourged whelpling 211 in this example)
turn 1 doom
turns 2+ spam shadow shock
both pets should die at the same time
use ascension at immortal turn
IF you got lucky and valkyr eats another curse of doom from next pet just bring kid and spam
hoof, if not turn 1 etheral,
when moth comes etheral->ghostly bite-> hoof
moth should be already dead, or almost dead -> bring 3rd pet to cleanup

Worked flawlessly for me, I really like how every undead has their first attack strong against each of Merayl's pets. Though you can adapt the moment you phase shift with the shadeling at the end, see Nyanmara's comment below.

One little addition.. My Shadeling is H/S and after the first Arcane Blast the moth still had the first move (because of the racial for flying pets). I saw no sense in using Phase Shift - I only use evade attacks when I have the first move - so it lasts 2 rounds. So I went with Arcane Blast until the moth dropped so low, that I got the first move... But it had only 235 (or something like that) life left so again.. I decided against Phase Shift and used another Arcane Blast to end the fight.
So - all in all - it worked quite nicely. But I guess it is better to alternate a little if the fight does not go like planned.. :)

Excellent suggestion. Though Shadelings can only be H/H or H/S and anyway vs a flyer it's impossible to have the first move in the beginning, like you said. :)

Stitched pup wasn't leveled so I used Ghostly Skull (1,1,2) as the 2nd pet. Instead of swapping the Scourged Whelpling out, I just kept him in until he died. And when Ghostly Skull got to the moth, I used Ghostly Bite on his death round. By the time Restless Shadeling came into play, he just needed to cast 2 arcane blasts.

Worked flawlessly. Because my H/S Shadeling was faster than the moth I was able to skip the round 4 phase shift and just finish it off with another arcane blast.

I substituted Ghastly Rat (1,2,2) for Stitched Pup and Widget the Departed (1,2,1) for Restless Shadeling. Same strategy as above, using Flurry on Ghastly Rat to take care of Helpful Spirit. When the Moth came out used Rabid Strike, then switched to Widget. Used Call of Darkness, Spectral Strike, moth died.

Might I suggest that Jeack's strat be added as a second alternative? It worked much better for me. Frag of Anger (1,2,1) demolishes that brutal moth.

2 pet with Scourged Whelpling(2,1,1) and Weebom (2,1,2). Got lucky on the Haymakers, but I had fragment of anger on deck to kill moth (has 3 anti-flying abilities).
