I used Burrow a couple of times to deal some nice beast damage and to dodge the most dangerous attacks in addition to dodge. :)

I've tested a few snails and Rabbits and each one I tried worked perfectly. My H/S snail was even level 20 and killed Rocklick and 30% of Slow Moe HP's.
Are you trying to kill him before turn 4 or did your fight last more than 10 rounds?
