I used Moonie's script below and brought a HS Ghostshell Crab [2,2,1] as a 3rd pet backup.

I agree with other comments about recommending another crab in the 3rd slot; I was lucky that the last opponent died to bleed damage after my 2nd pet.

Your strategy is missing anything with their third pet, and I am guessing you just assume that people will finish it off on their own.

Bringing along another crab with the same move set as emperor crab as the 3rd pet is a good idea in case emperor crab doesn’t survive long enough. I was able to finish up with the 2nd whirlpool/surge crab and then continue onto fen crab per the strat above.

Nice strat. I added 'shell shield' for Fen Crab against the 3rd pet, just for survivability.
I didn't use my 3rd pet.

This ultimately worked but only because I accidentally had/chose the correct third pet. My first crab did not survive to see Shelby. I had to take out most of Sheldon and Shelby with my Fen Crab. Thankfully, I had two lv25 Fen Crabs and had the foresight to use the second as my third pet.

I didnt have these pets but it did lead me to finding out another pet that does really well against them. CoarlBack Fiddler. Rip and Blood in the Water took out the last two with ease. I used Ghostshell crab for the first guy they pretty much took each other out.

Well, it worked. I would say I felt my Fen Crab was a little useless when reapplying rip cos that was all he could do. I had my Tundra Penguin as my 3rd (only needed to do one attack). Oh hang on. It picked my H/H Fen Crab and not my P/P one. Maybe that changes things some.

Your pet selection was fantastic, however the guide could use some work. It assumes your first crab will survive the second pet, also its abilities could be better used when taking into account dives or double carapaces
