Looking at the age of this strat (#45) it was surely written for Emperor Crab. The site nowadays fills in possible substitiutes automatically, but it's possible some of those might not work.

If you don't have a P/P breed Emperor Crab, get one! It's one of the standard tools in your toolbox.

However, the site also offers automatic substitutions - Strand Crab, Shore Crab, and so on - so people may use one of those, not realising that THEY HAVE DIFFERENT STATS.
People setting newer stats are aware of this, and usually put restrictions, like a minimum Health, Speed or Power, so that substitutes that won't work will not be shown. It might be that in this case, if we find a substitute that doesn't work, we need to find a minimum stat that we should specify to make it safe.

The key is that the crab only needs to get 1 hit in on skimmer before it dies, so it doesn't need to be high on hp after the 2nd pet.
open with shell shield, renewing mists, then snap till first pet dies.
shell shield, renewing mists, then snap till second pet dies.
when skimmer comes out, swap to level pet and back to crab, then snap once and die.
bring chrominius out and howl, surge and that should finish it.
it's possible this is breed dependent, though, my crab is P/P.

3. Veilwatcher Hatchling with Peck, Flock, Predatory Strike
R1: Spiny Carapace
R2: Rip
R3: Blood in the Water (Diamond dies to DoT if not BitW)
R4: Rip
R5: Spiny Carapace
R6: Rip (Your crab dies)
R7: Select Carry Pet and immediately swap to Veilwatcher Hatchling
R8: Flock
R9: Flock continues (Mollus dies to DoT)
R10: Flock continues
R11: Predatory Strike (Skimmer can often die here if heals are low)
R12: Peck will finish off Skimmer
This is a very solid and fast strat and the pets are easily obtainable. Try it out and see what you think.
