Took me 3 tries to get the Surge of Power off, but then worked perfectly after that. A bit of RNG as it is labeled, but let me use existing, popular pets.

It can take quite a number of attempts until the first enemy pet uses its spells in an order that allows Chrominius to live until the third turn and cast Surge of Power, but eventually it will work.
