The Rotten Little Helper is really there to do a big guaranteed attack, the booby trap is a nice-to-have. Club is chosen for if, somehow, he has to fight one of the critters. If you don't have one of these pets, check out the comments, people have listed alternatives that worked for them. Strat and script worked for me. Spouse had script break during Deflection for headbutt with Mawsworn Minion, but manually was able to follow strat anyway.

I was not having ANY luck with my P/B Lil' Bad Wolf but that changed when I swapped it for my S/S Bonkers (Speed 325). Similar setup with Bite/Dodge/Tornado Punch, mimic the strat. If you're struggling like me, double check your arsenal of speedy Dodge dealing humanoids! (that are also strong against Critters) (edited)

This is very doable without a S/S Lil' Bad Wolf. You'll need to restart a couple times to finish off the first pet without getting hit by Dive, but after that it's consistent.

Managed it with a P/S Lil' Bad Wolf. May've been a lucky Dodge predict on Brul'dan or some lucky crits, but it's technically possible.
