First strategy but I wanted to post this since it was a low pet requirement strategy that worked for me. Slightly RNG dependent because of Batter RNG, but it worked 3 times in a row for me. It's essentially identical to this strategy posted by Legacys for Critters. Thanks to them for the idea.

If the boss crits you'll need to restart. The idea for this strategy was to not worry about pump and sear magic, but to count on them occurring as they are free turns for you to attack. I wanted to see if I could brute force it with common pets, and I found that Iron Starlettes had enough health that they could survive the double hit from thundertongue with a tiny bit of health remaining after they use their passive. It isn't pretty, but it works. I don't know if you can do this with different breeds of Iron Starlettes
