I wanted to see if I could brute force it with common pets, and I found that Iron Starlettes had enough health that they could survive the double hit from thundertongue with a tiny bit of health remaining after they use their passive. I didn't have a Mechanical Scorpid leveled, so I swapped it for a Cogblade Raptor with Exposed Wounds. Had to Batter instead of pass turn 11, but it still accomplished the goal.
