Based on an idea by Flummoxed#7749 on Discord I tried 3x Prismatic Softshell.
Using Absorb vs. Runehoof & Duster only is intended, Slugger would die faster, but we don't want that, we are aiming for as much AoE damage as possible on the backline pets before we can no longer avoid to kill Slugger ;-) This is also the reason behind swapping pets, passing turns and using barriers to be immune to damage while waiting for the perfect moment for next Shell Rush. (~58 rounds slowly but steady) I know that most people don't have or won't buy this pet 3 times and I'm sure we'll see alternate strategies soon, but Family Achievements are also a time when players provide help with specific breeds or pet duplicates. |

This is not my strat and instead comes from Naareuh on Wowhead. This still has some RNG with the roach against Duster, but far less than others I have seen. The two rats are preferred to have the slowest speed you have, but I just used what I had and it worked.

Is it the steps or the TDScript (I'm no script wizzard so that could be the problem)
I just tried it and it worked for me, might be some RNG I have missed maybe.

This is a very nice and exact strategy, as is common with difficult Family strats, and needs equally exact timing, In all three cases, what happened was that I killed Slugger a round early; Slugger died to the Dive on Round 17 instead of living to be killed by the Absorb in Round 18. While killing an opponent earlier is usually a good thing, the problem here is that Runehoof comes in and finishes off your Roach before Apocalypse goes off, so Apocalypse never hits.
In my three tries, I used an S/S Roach, and a H/H Cockroach. I post a log below with the H/H Cockroach. Both of these are minimum power for the moveset. One possibility is that the Roach you used had less power, but I'm not sure how. In the log I'm posting, I did get a crit, but that was not essential to the sequence.
I did not try the script. I do not and will not use that addon.

Only done a few strategies and still learning, so any input is welcome!
It should not be a problem if Slugger dies from the Dive.
If it does, then the Absorb in round 18 should be used as first hit on Runehoof.
It's all about the timing of the Apocalypse, Roach should not be brought in until there is 1 round left on Apocalypse.
I cannot see it in the log you posted, seems like you forfeited that specific fight, but could it be that you bring in Roach 1 round too early?
I have updated info in the steps that Dive may kill Slugger.
I used a Roach SS breed (hp1375/pow210/spe315)

On trying with the new ways, I won 2 of 3. (The third had some bad RNG with Moth Balls and Predatory Strike,)
I think it's fair to remove the RNG tag. There is some RNG with this battle, but I think we can allow that that's assumed when it comes to difficult Family strats.

The steps are still in same order, but I added the text about the Dive and that Absorb was either kill Slugger or first strike of Runehoof, so more of a clarification than a change.
I did the fight 5 times now to check again, and I won all 5.
I see that the TDScript would fail if Dive kills Slugger, so will add info about the script also.
