  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

I tried with Spirebound Crab H/H instead of Emperor Crab. My Gulp Froglet was H/P. When G'natus comes in last Mar'cuus still has 6-800 HP and was not close to dying from the Swallow.

Gulp Froglet got swapped in instead of emperor crab so I changed crab for Magical Crawdad (more HP than gulp). I had to do 1 surge after the last swallow your whole but it worked.

Iburninate wrote on 2019-01-16 01:53:51

This works with a Coastal Scuttler instead of a Gulp Froglet! Use Stampede.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-19 22:31:44

My Gulp Froglet was an H breed, so, all I had to do was battle Mar'cuus with it on my 1st slot and forfeit after the first turn, in order to lower its current health.

Then I followed this strat and I still managed to do it on the first try.

This was brilliant, thanks!

This worked perfectly with a HH Emperor Crab and a BB Gulp frog. Did not work with a HP Gulp frog

for Mar'cuus I had to use the spawn of g'nathus + magical crawdad + gulp froglet and yea it was a close call but I couldn't beat it with likek 10 other aquatic pets I tried

I guess if I took the time to read ( its almost 6 am I cant be expected to read the fine print on everything everytime ) I would have seen the comment from Xweaz…..the strat works tho

Please post the breeds for the Argus fights as you're wasting everyone's time otherwise. Some of the strats for this alternative and the current primary have no chance of winning if specific breeds aren't used. Hope this helps: Spawn of G'nathus P/B (121), Magical Crawdad H/H (211), and Gulp Froglet H/B (121).
Turn 1 Pass - your Crawdad is forced in
Turn 2 Renewing Mists
Turn 3 Whirlpool
Turn 4 Surge - your Gulp Froglet is forced in
Turns 5-7 Swarm - your Spawn of G'nathus is forced in
Turn 8 Thunderbolt
Turn 9 Swallow You Whole

I observed no crits and it worked the first time.

Thank you both for your time. With the correct breeds, the fight was won on first try. So it still is a good strat.

H/H Magical Crawdad, H/B Gulp Froglet

Need to add a surge in at the end to win

dyz wrote on 2018-11-15 01:35:59

are there any other breeds for the first 2?
used a B/B Gulp Froglet with a surge to finish
Worked Great TY!

Spawn of G'natus has only one possible breed. I used a HH emporer crab and a HP Gulp Froglet and this worked fantastic on the first try.

Nicely done! Worked well on the first try. And that completes my Family Fighter achievement. Thanks to everyone for all the great strategies.

wrote on 2017-12-15 15:01:07

Funnily enough, I didn't have any crabs with high enough health, so I used the magical crawdad instead. Also needed to use one last surge to finish him off.... phew!

Nalli wrote on 2018-01-10 16:26:58

This worked perfectly...My Emporer Crab was too low in health to get swapped in as well, and the Crawdad has so much health when he gets swapped, he still lives :) Thanks :)

Stefania wrote on 2017-09-06 16:01:33

had issue since froglet had more life then crab, so used "Magical Crawdad" instead of crab. Worked at 1st try!

Snowy6 wrote on 2017-09-07 22:30:08

My SwalloW You Whole left him with 38 life but my Magical Crawdad was a live and a Surge finished it off first time :)

oobie wrote on 2017-10-04 05:35:59

this is the worst strategy yet, my magical crawdad takes 1111 on the first hit, 230 on the second and then on the round where he uses the gate dies....... what am i doing wrong? it has 1800 health

Josieann wrote on 2017-09-27 18:11:27

Worked great!

Raventoo wrote on 2017-09-09 14:47:19

Worked great using Magical Crawdad due to H breed.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-19 17:04:58

This worked! replace crab with crawdad.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-20 17:13:27

yes. Use a Magical Crawdad. finally worked,

Blaze wrote on 2017-09-19 19:06:53

This isn't working for me. Has something changed? Using Spawn, Swamp Croaker(Balance), Magical Crawdad

Macgam wrote on 2017-09-19 16:30:13

Nice and easy.

Rilla wrote on 2017-09-19 12:53:57

Your Emperor Crab can have the same HP as your Gulp Froglet (not less)

Dakini wrote on 2017-09-11 16:58:44
