Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Dragonflight 10.2.6 Safe!
Kudos and thanks.

Mike wrote on 2021-03-03 00:36:13

Not workable, unless you go with one of the substitutes above, or get a Footslasher with Speed 292+. The 1-shot from Bloat is quite effective!

I set that ">291" for Speed there for a reason, not sure why you tried with a slower pet ;-)

Essere wrote on 2021-01-10 11:10:10

Worked very well! Thanks a ton for sharing this!

Wolfbrother

wrote on 2020-10-22 12:43:10

Still works in SL prepatch, used a Clouded Hedgehog (S/S) with Poison Fang as opener.

Easy, fast and it works. Thank you!

MyBelle wrote on 2017-09-23 19:00:26

Moon Moon worked great in the first slot.

Othros wrote on 2020-07-04 17:29:23

Yes! Ty, getting that Moon Dance in there was the key.

Saffie wrote on 2017-09-02 19:53:47

Any snake with speed >292 and poison fang will do as first pet

Trinah wrote on 2018-10-16 09:23:08

Yup - burrow avoids the explosion. Then apply poison fang.

As my Footslasher was not fast enough to go first, i tried this and it worked like a champ. Thanks.

Too elaborate| Any Beast (Pass), Footslasher: Black Claw | Hunting Party | Leap...et voilà.

Ad4nn

wrote on 2018-06-12 01:11:15

Perfect, except used Anklerender, not Footslasher.

Mergas wrote on 2018-05-07 23:27:23

Strategy worked great the first time! S/S Footslasher, P/S Anklerender, and Moon Moon ( who never saw battle) and Bloat was dead.

Remte

wrote on 2018-04-17 07:29:51

To sum it up, first pet can be also any fast DoT or Brittle Webbing provider, such as: Scorpling, Clouded Hedgehog, snakes, spiders.

Yewfire wrote on 2017-09-13 03:53:54

Worked first time. Thanks!

Zalid

wrote on 2017-10-29 17:21:18

Yep. Nice and easy :-)

Lilianne wrote on 2017-09-03 02:06:02

Any first pet can be a sacrifice, so long as the second pet is any speed/power Zandalari with Black Claw and Hunting party.

Rzzr wrote on 2017-09-25 15:51:41

Absolutely correct !

Gary Hicks wrote on 2017-09-16 04:04:26

I used Alpine Foxling (Howl) followed by Zandalari Anklerender (Black claw > Hunting Party) and the fight was finished in 3 rounds. Alpine Foxling can be substituted with Fel Pup or any Beast with >292 Speed and Howl.

wenchy wrote on 2017-09-16 05:58:33

Wonderful strat! Worked great, thanks.

Aeliel wrote on 2017-09-16 06:33:55

Worked perfectly with a Fel Pup Howling.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-04 18:22:36

why would you suggest a darter hatchling - when these are supposed to be all beasts.

Tormentia-Kul Tiras wrote on 2017-09-05 23:31:15

The Footslasher is a Beast, in spite of its looks.

Camille wrote on 2017-09-13 02:47:46

Shashos didn't suggest a Darter Hatchling--look again. The comment says Darting Hatchling, which is indeed a beast and not the Sprite Darter Hatchling you're thinking of.
