Had same issue as mentioned below. The first swap will bring Crusher rather than Murgle. Before the fight I ran a short one turn battle with a wild pet near by to drop Crusher hp a bit and it work. Thanks for posting this!

Pretty tough strat in SL. Your terky doesn't die when it should. I fyou get a crit with Ore eater then it'll work - but when it wants you to swap in your Idol, instead swap your Terky back in (so it gets hit with the swap, then your Idol can take over). Then make sure you deflect to avoid the big hit again if needed.

Moonshimmer wrote on 2018-06-18 06:02:52

I didn't have my Ore eater fully leveled so I used Crusher instead... however it didn't quite work as my Crusher was being pulled in instead of Terky... So I swapped my Terky for Curious Wolvar Pup.

Anubisath Idol (1, 1, 1) Curious Wolvar Pup (2,1,2) Crusher (1,1,2)

Pass
Crusher is swapped in
Demolish until Crusher dies
Curious Wolvar Pup is swapped in
Snap Trap (here there's a bit of rng, my trap was activated immediately)
Maul
Bite
Bucky dies

Worth a shot if nothing else is working for you like me, but maybe I just got lucky :)

good strat for humanoids:
http://www.wowhead.com/npc=128013/bucky#comments:id=2548654

Squirky -/2/2
Corefire Imp 2/1/2
any humanoid below 1400 hp (could be level 1)

1. Squirky > pass.
2. Corefire Imp is forced in > Immolation > Rush > Wild Magic.
3. swap manually to your random pet that will die/swapped.
4. Squirky is back > Stampede (Squirky dies after 2 runs).
5. Corefire Imp > Rush.

* if squirky get a crit at some point you will have to restart.

I used this strategy as well. In the 3rd spot I had Ore Eater. After first pass this was the pet who was swapped. I just used Demolition x 3 (1 miss) until next swap. For the rest of strategy I used the one above.

Important to note for this strat that I *think the sacrifice humanoid must die. The first one i used was too high and didn't die, so the Corefire imp got swapped in instread of Squirky. Redid it with a level 1 that died and it worked great.

Tie wrote on 2017-10-15 19:31:41

I did this with Anubasith Idol 1,1,1 Kunlai Runt 2,2,2 and Sister of Temptation 1,1,2

Anubasith Idol use deflection first then sandstorm. Then use demolish until you can either deflect or you get swapped. ( I got lucky and all 3 demolish's hit).

In comes Sister, use curse of doom, haunting song then shadow shock until she dies.

Bring in Runt, use frost shock, deep freeze then takedown.

I didnt have to use takedown because the curse of doom killed him.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-15 23:11:39

Lots of wiggle room with this strat. Anub is 1,2,1 for sandstorm

It took a few tries (I was VERY unlucky with my idol), but it works pretty well, I would say. Just one thing, you said the idol needs to be 1-1-1, but then you mentioned using demolish (which is 2). I would say it works both ways depending on your luck.

I used deflection, demo x 3 and deflect the 2nd swap aswell. Another demo and Bucky went down - I was lucky with 4 hits (and one crit) and didn't need any other pets.

Pretty nice strat, but as says earlier, Demolish is 2(2-1-1). But I won. Even with Crush.

Humanoid Team:
Father Winter's Helper (B/B) - 2, 1, 1
Terky (H/B) - x, 1, 2
Rotten Little Helper (P/P) - 2, 2, 1

Father Winter's Helper:
1 - pass, Terky swapped in

Terky:
1 - Acid Touch
2+ - Stampede, Terky dies from Void Gate

Rotten Little Helper:
1 - Greench's Gift
2 - Ice Tomb
3 - pass, Rotten Little Helper dies

Father Winter's Helper:

Nice strategy! My Ore Eater finished the fight without Anubisath Idol ever getting involved (other than his initial Pass). It may have been because I used an S/S Ore Eater (he was faster than Bucky) or it may have been just random luck. Either way, I'll take it. Thanks for the strategy & the great website.

Vivor wrote on 2018-01-31 05:23:19

I used a P/P Ore Eater and Bucky died, the Anubisath Idol return wasn't needed.
I think Bucky is faster even if u have a S/S breed so why not use the Ore Eater that hit hardest? Assuming you have more then one, like I do.

Mel Lafferty wrote on 2017-10-19 15:01:40

I just used Anubisath Idol H/H (2,1,1) and I have 2 Kun-Lai Runt, both rare - first is P/B and second is P/S (both set to 2,2,2) ... it's hands down an easy take down of Bucky :D

Pistachio wrote on 2017-09-24 11:56:42

I used the same pets but instead of passing first, I used deflection, then sandstorm and demolish (I also used Demolish instead of Crush and works like a charm). Keep anubisath in as long as you can using deflection and sandstorm (remember there are 3 charges for stampede)

Demolish x2
Deflect

Amalle wrote on 2017-11-05 21:08:24

*Guardling should be (2,2,1) for sandstorm.

This worked. I had a restart a few times when the idol didn't hit often enough. My Guardling was (H/B). I also did Demolish 3x on the second demolish round. Oh, and Rotten's ability is called Ice lance, not Ice tomb.

Coton wrote on 2017-10-04 11:00:50

I got lucky with Anubisath 1-1-1, Terky 1-2-1, and Rotten Little Helper 1-2-1, I took Pistachio's advice to not pass on the first round, and followed standard fighting rotations after that. For some reason Gift Package had a tremendous hit and saved the day. Ty all!

Agisaaya wrote on 2017-11-05 11:19:42

I did the same strat. Didn't work the first time, but I had to adjust the second time and it worked fine, but not with a ton of health left. Make sure you stun Bucky when you can, it gives you an extra *free* turn. Keep your Anubisath Idol alive the longer you can. He saved the fight! :)
