I did the fight with Lava Beetle as HP Breed and the Grizzly Squirrel as SS Breed. I am pretty sure more Breeds than HH or HP for Lava Beetle work, but I haven't tested it. Credit for this strategy goes to Fal#2263.

This took several tries but I finally got it with a H/P Fire-Proof Roach, S/S Cockroach, and Nuts. (P/S). There was some RNG involved as I had to count on a couple of lucky crits, but that's the only team that worked for me in the end.

This one worked for me after several attempts and a replacement of Nether Roach H/P for the beetle and Nuts (P/S by default) for the squirrel. My S/S squirrel just never seemed to be able to do enough damage.

This works, but is breed dependent definitely (more than it says it is). First pet really needs to be an H/P pet with hiss (many beetles and cockroaches will fit the bill). Last pet should be some kind of squirrel that is P/S (Nuts is guaranteed to be so, and that's what I used). Most other strategies on this site stopped working when stampede was nerfed; this is the only one left I can confirm to work.
