Other rabbits can work, but don't reliably survive to soak the blind later in the fight. Thankfully, rabbits are easy to come by. All breeds of Nexuswelpling and Sturmgeborener Welpling will usually win with this strategy. However, there is an edge case where if you get a very low damage roll on your first volley of Mana Surge, you can fail to trigger the Dragonkin racial and die to a lucky crit string from Feathyrs.
