How it works

I have made a small change to the game by increasing the amount of quiz attempts you can save up from 150 to 750. It's a significant change for a specific reason: To allow late-comers to catch up. Otherwise, if you weren't around on day one, it would be almost impossible to make it into the leaderboard.

This change was applied retroactively so anyone who was at the cap of attempts during day one, got those attempts awarded. If you did use your attempts, you didn't lose out because they were already automatically filled :-)

Increasing to 750 means the same as 5 days worth of attempts. That allows anyone who joins the game in the first 5 days an equal footing. Hope this makes sense but if there are any questions, let me know!

Simply put, it's a quiz! Click the Play button in the menu on top and you can start answering questions.

Here's an example of what kind of question you might see:

• The orange bar at the bottom is your timer. Once it runs out, your selected answer will be locked in. If you don't select anything, you will automatically fail the question. Most questions have a 30 second timer.

• Next to the paw at the bottom left are the total points you have gained in the game so far.

• The number on the bottom right is how many attempts you have left.

There is more than a dozen different question types and it is random which one you'll get.
Equally, almost all of the questions have a random selection in them. Like in this example, which family and pets is chosen. Just one thing is for certain, it's all about pet battles!

Once you've answered, you will see your result:



It shows very clearly if you were correct or not and your points will adjust accordingly.
If you hover over the "?" on any of the pets, you will see details of them so you can double-check the information.

Now you can jump directly to the next question, or call it a day and simply close the window.

At the start of the quiz, you have 150 attempts. Sounds like a lot? It's not! Give it a try and you see how fast it goes :D
Your attempts will refill automatically over time: every hour you get 5 more attempts at the quiz.

Q: What happens if I refresh my browser or close the window before I answer?
A: Unfortunately, that attempt will be lost without any points

Q: How long will this quiz last?
A: The quiz and leaderboard will run for 2 weeks, from May 1st until May 14th - 22:00 GMT. At this time, the leaderboard points will be locked in!

Q: When will I get my prize?
A: Aranesh will be in touch shortly after the anniversary quiz ends. If your prize is a digital code, you will receive it very soon as a direct message here on Xu-Fu's.
If it's a physical prize, we will need the best shipping address to use and you will either receive a parcel from one of the vendors or directly from Aranesh.
The parcels might take a while, so please bring a good a mount of patience.

Q: I'm part of the Xu-Fu staff, can I participate?
A: You can, but this time Xu-Fu staff is excluded from winning any prizes.

Q: I made it into the leaderboard! Can I win a raffle prize as well?
A: Prizes are limited to one per user so if you've already got a leaderboard prize, you will not be part of the raffle.
