10.1.5 has hit the PTR, and here's everything we have so far for battle pets!

1. Battle Pet Updates

Inert Phoenix Ash is now found on both varieties of fire elementals in the area it drops in (was only one type), and at a significantly increased drop rate.

WHELP DAYCARE
The dragons have more eggs than they can handle, so they’ve called in the crew at the Little Scales Daycare to help. The crew quickly finds itself overwhelmed, and so asks the player (as a great friend of the dragons) for help.
Guide five dragon whelps as they grow and learn. Teach the whelps (and players) about the dragon flights.

Talk to Temporal Investigator Tempo in Eon's Fringe and accept The Chronosmith to start the questline /way #2025 54.77 81.62 Tempo

Talk to Ironus Coldsteel and complete The Chronosmith at /way #2025 52.59 80.45 Ironus Coldsteel

Accept and complete Chronohammer Time! and For the Hoard! (whatever the map will tell you, the turn-in is at The Chronosmith's Forge where you originally accepted the quests)

Accept If a Hammer Can Break a Lock..., stand in the beacon, and use your Shatter Time Lock Extra Action Button.

Enter the Timeforge Building and accept By Time Fire be Purged! AND Sword Stealing Searers (you don't need to complete the 2nd quest for Kabluey, but without accepting it, the NPC want walk into place for the turn-in)

Kill Slagnaros (up on the tower), loot The Heart of the Timeforge, and return to get your Kabluey. Congrats!

Nelthara



Augmented by Adamanthia's Ebon Might, this whelpling is ready to face any challenge.

To be almost certain you'll get the initial Our Destiny for this Dracthyr/Evoker-specific pet to pop up on 10.1.5's release, have your Dracthyr leveled-up to 70 when 10.1.5 is released. Specialize into Augmentation and zone inside of Valdrakken (i.E. by running down the stairs from "Seat of the Aspects" until the zone is showing "Valdrakken", it should only take a few seconds for the quest to pop up after that.

While it doesn't matter what your spec is when you've got that initial quest, for the final quest Augmenting a Dragon, it's mandatory to be specialized as Augmentation Evoker, a little encounter requires the usage of Ebon Might and Blistering Scales. (when I did that, the quest didn't mention that).

4. Whelp Daycare Quests

The Whelp Daycare is a new daily quest hub that Blizzard will introduce in Patch 10.1.5. It appears as though we'll guide a whelp of each flight by doing daily quests in the Little Scales Daycare in Valdrakken.

Keep in mind your days may not exactly reflect what is shown below. Sometimes the quests will be jumbled so they are in a different order from player-to-player.

We'll be updating this section as more information becomes available. Right now the PTR is introducing the quests a little oddly, so I'll be splitting them up into 'Campaign' Quests, Daycare Quests, and Whelp Dailies. However, from prior iterations of the PTR each whelp will take 4 days until the next Whelp.

From Lazey

Right now, the reclaimed Obsidian Citadel is required on the first day in the Whelp Daycare storyline.

Make sure that you've completed the Black Dragon campaign in The Waking Shores on at least one character (to unlock the skip) before 10.1.5 gets released.

Without the recaptured Citadel phasing you won't be able to interact with a NPC mandatory for a specific quest item.

When you've completed it once, the skip is available for your characters on Kalendormu. (located at the Obsidian Citadel and Obsidian Bulwark flight point)

• Note: As of right now on the PTR you cannot learn Posidriss because Somnius' flag is connected in some way, and shows Posidriss as collected.
