PET NEWS - BY DRAGONSAFTERDARK
Patch 10.0.7 hit the PTR today, and this is what we've found so far for pet battles: 18 new pets (some of which come from our old list of mystery pets from launch!), 8 new WQs on the main Isles (4 single targets & 4 tamers), 4 new WQs/fights in The Forbidden Reach, and 1 new achievement.

Let's get started!

1. Snowclaw Cub

It looks like Thalendra will offer a rotating weekly quest to reward the Honorary Dryad title! It still disappears on logout and if you take a Waygate, so make sure you have your Hornswog Hunk x 3 & Honey Snack x 1 ready to go and fly over.

And speaking of Honey Snacks, it also looks as though the vendor Kraxxus in The Forbidden Reach will be selling Honey Snacks!

2. Zapthrottle Changes

ENGINEERING
Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler has received several quality of life improvements:
  • The device can now be used while moving.
  • The channel time of the device has been reduced to 4 seconds (was 12 seconds)
  • Channeling the device for its full duration now marks the target elemental for 30 seconds. Slaying it during this window will also grant its soul.
  • The cooldown for a successful soul capture has been reduced to 5 minutes (was 15 minutes).

3. Currency Needed

3.1 Elemental Overflow: 27,000+

3.2 Neltharion Gift Token(s)

3.3 Dragon Isles Supplies: 150

From WonderWez & Dr. Moudi
I've seen two ways to get Emmah - one from fishing the Disgusting Vat (myself), and I saw someone else mention they got it from using Refreshing Waters in the dead aquarium fish.
The pet is inside the vault in the aquarium room. By gathering "Restorative water" in a vial from the Alchemist room and poor it into dead fish in the aquarium, will restore the fish and you also get Emmah.

  • Location: Zskera Vaults

From WonderWez:
You’ll find Kobaldt basically frozen, inanimate, on a sled in one of the rooms, and if in another room you found the Ley-Infused Crystals you can apply them to it, reanimating it and when you click on the animate version, you get Kobaldt.

Patos

This frillfish is a no-frills kind of frillfish.

  • Family: Aquatic
  • Abilities: Water Jet, Cleansing Rain, Whirlpool, Surge, Healing Wave, Pump
  • Treasure: Unique Fish from Unkept Aquarium
  • Location: Zskera Vaults
  • Additional Information: Patos and Emmah have both dropped from the Aquarium in the Zskera Vaults. As per Dr. Moudi's instructions above; "The pet is inside the vault in the aquarium room. Awesome post, I was wondering if there is such here, on site, where I could find ALL info about pets from The Maw, Korthia and Zereth Mortis? There are awesome pets down there, I would, especially, really appreciate infos about pets crafted via Protoform Synthesis. Is it possible to find it somewhere here? And if so, how? Thanks a lot!!!!!

Good catch! I didn't see that one. That will definitely be nice, since I think the only comparable one is the crab that ahs Pump & Prowl. The downside is that pet comes form the new 'Blingtron' drop from the key vaults xD. It might not be as bad, since you get a currency you can turn in for the package, which means you might be able to get multiple packages a day, but hopefully the droprate isn't horrible. *crosses fingers*
