Tried it several times and Benax doesn't die - always ends up with 38 hps.
Decided to try it one more time after the above post. He died. everything was going well until my last pet died b4 getting off the kill shot. (edited)

What an annoying fight! After failing few strategies from here I looked on Wowhead and found this one there too. It worked for me and won after 2nd try. I used Coastal Scuttler HH and Slimy Fangtooth SS.

Well, to be honest, screw Blizzard's RNG on this fight lol !!!
I spent 2 hours on this stupid fight trying many different strategies until I eventually settled on using this method until the Gods of RNG allowed me the opportunity to win.
What a dumb time wasting, time-consuming, frustrating battle.

Don't give up, use the exact pets (I had a Slimy Eel SS breed, thankfully) else this cannot work, you must have Speed for last pet to actually have any chance to kill Gloamwing.

Never give up, never surrender, we will fight them till the end!

Couldn't get this strat to work after about 15 attempts as my 3rd pet wasn't fast enough, went with slimy slug for expunge as it hits harder than starfall and managed to get the kill after just a couple of tries.

for me this doesn't work at all in 10.1.5 my coastal scuttler is one shotted at round 6 - tried 5 times :( (25lvl BB)

1st try Coastal Scuttler died on Turn 6, before he could get off Bubble. Second try, the whole thing worked like exactly as it should. So, a bit RNG, but still a great strat.

Da ich keinen passenden Schleimigen Otter habe, verwendete ich den Schleimiger Einsiedlerkrebs. Er hat sowohl die gleichen Fähigkeiten als auch stimmt die Geschwindigkeit. Hat als Ersatz tip top geklappt. Paguro Eremita Viscido

DragonsAfterDark	All Aquatic fights against Gloamwing are considered RNG. If your Violet Abyssal Eel is crit by Predatory Strike: restart. Both the Eel and Skitterling should be able to take 3 Regular Slicing Wind hits for one round. Orgulas	DON`T TRY IT WITH THE ALTERNATIVE PETS IT DOESN´T WORK It has to be the hermit and the chitterspine! So, I had none of those slimy Pets from Naz and found this strategy. The Eel should be very cheap in the AH, so def a good alternative. It`s very important, that your chitterspine is S/S go farm one if neccessary. Anything with 1600+ hp and Swarm or Stampede will work for slot 1, though I'm not if anything with 1800+ will die on its second round if Gloamwing doesn't Slicing Wind enough.
