Zone: Nazjatar
Treasure: Slimy Cocoon
Drop Chance: 13 - 16 %

Slimy Cocoons are treasures in Nazjatar that involve a five-day time-investment from players by feeding Critters to Slimes.

To access the Slimy Cocoons, players will need to complete Nazjatar's zone campaign quests until WQs are unlocked for the zone.

Then you can pick up the 'A Curious Discovery' quest from the Strange Crystals at any of these 4 locations:

/way #1355 32.8 39.7 Strange Crystal
/way #1355 45.6 24.2 Strange Crystal
/way #1355 55.2 48.8 Strange Crystal
/way #1355 71.8 25.8 Strange Crystal

Once you turn this in, you can find lootable Prismatic Crystals on the ground all over Nazjatar, usually near sources of water and waterfalls. You can view all confirmed locations for these Crystals on Wowhead here.

These crystals can be used to charm a Nazjatar critter, which can then be "fed" to a Ravenous Slime. There are 4 Ravenous Slimes in Nazjatar at these locations, which mirror the locations of the Strange Crystals above:

/way #1355 71.8 25.6 Ravenous Slime
/way #1355 32.8 39.6 Ravenous Slime
/way #1355 45.6 24.2 Ravenous Slime
/way #1355 55.0 48.6 Ravenous Slime

You'll want to use your Prismatic Crystal on a Critter near the Cocoon, and walk/ground mount over the to Ravenous Slimes. Leaving the ground can cause the critter to despawn or bug out and not feed the Slime. Feeding the slime causes it to feel full, fall asleep, and despawn. It will re-appear in the same spot the next day around the time you fed it previously and not at reset (last I checked).

You will need to do this for 5 days:

  • The five days do NOT need to be consecutive.
  • Progress WILL roll over to the next week.
  • Once looted, the Cocoons will remain on CD until the weekly reset.
