Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

you can use Lost Quill или Archivist's Quill as last pet

Didn't have Sapphire Cub leveled, and the alternates are hard to get, so I subbed in Living Fluid (1, 2, 2) and used Jade Owl (1, X, X) for the third slot.

After following the instructions above for the Minfernal's part of the fight, I used Evolution, Acidic Goo, Ooze Touch, and finally Thrash on my owl to finish the fight. (I don't think Ooze Touch even landed before the Living Fluid was dead fluid.) (edited)

Turns out I didn't even need the third pet! (And my Minfernal is only green). But I had prepped Chaos Pup just in case. Probably any Magic pet with a strong attack against critters would work.

Awesome... Worked first try. TY

Glorfindel wrote on 2019-08-03 17:35:46

Sanctum cub with Black Claw, Leap and Rend works too

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-16 23:10:40

Used oily slimeling, viscidus globule and jade oozeling. his big spell doesn't kill them and they all have at least one spell strong against him

Aderana wrote on 2017-09-28 18:04:21

Worked for me.

Pertnikoff wrote on 2018-08-01 09:29:28

This worked. Used Blood boil 1/1/1; Oily Slimeling 1/1/2; Finished the fight without needing Jade Oozling 1/1/1. Thanks for the tip Anonymous one.

Worked for me, 1st try. Disgusting Ooze, Oily Slimeling, Sticky Oozling. 111 for all of them. Almost didn't even need the Sticky one.

With a PP minfernal, remove round 5 Crush or you die before being able to cast explode.
Rest of fight as strategy says, but use 3. pet for 1 attack.

Gigs wrote on 2017-09-20 11:13:25

Quick 2 pets:
Swapped the original second pet with Chaos pup x2x

follow the original, when Minfernal dies get in Chaos Pup Leap, Leap, (leap)

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-28 14:06:08

what do u mean w leap on chaos pup? mine doesnt have that

therabbit86ed wrote on 2017-12-12 18:38:25

they probably meant 'Bite' since Chaos Pup doesn't have the 'Leap' ability

Semi wrote on 2017-08-30 15:42:22

Also did not have Sapphire Cub, so I used a Twilight Fiendling which has Rake, and then used Leap in place of Pounce and Adrenal Glands in place of Prowl. Worked great.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-08-30 16:21:19

Works great, didn't need 3rd pet.

Fluffyrock wrote on 2017-09-02 03:31:20

Even worked with a white lvl25 Fiendling, thanks!

Gwenllian wrote on 2017-11-21 00:16:16

Worked great. Thanks!

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-09-15 09:23:59

Twilight Fiendling 2-1-1
Trunks 2-1-1
Any Magic pet

Turn 1. Adrenal Glands
2&3. Leap
4. Rake
5&6. Leap
Fiendling dies
Bring in Trunks
1. Headbutt
2. Smash (Bloat sometimes dies here)
3. Ethereal
4+. Smash until Bloat dies

Was worried as Minfernal is below 291 speed. But magic pets can only take 35% max damage per attack, so they are safe against the big nuke :-)
So, this works :D

Aeliel wrote on 2017-09-16 06:16:17

Arcane Storm + Mana Surge strategy works wonders here. By which I mean:

Empowered Manafiend 1/2/1, Mini Mindslayer 2/1/2, Mana Wyrmling 1/1/1

Arcane Storm, Arcane Blast x2, Surge of Power. Your Manafind dies, bring in the Mindslayer.
Mana Surge. Your Mindslayer dies.
Mana Surge to win.

Khakiass wrote on 2017-09-17 10:18:54

This worked well for me , as I had not leveled Sapphire Cub.

Arcane Eye for the third Mana Surge pet.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-05 23:22:03

I'm so sick of seeing the Minfernal on these strategies! Wasn't the whole goal to NOT use rare pets and specific breeds??

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-09-15 09:01:30

Yes, but the point of these Argus battles is to stretch your pet stable to breaking point. I've got over 850 pets - 615 unique - and I can do less than half the meta battles in Mac'Aree.
Even so, it's not like Minfernals are that hard to get these days. All you need to do is go to Felwood and realm hop for 20 minutes.
7.3 is only 3 weeks old yet people come here expecting to be spoon-fed cast-iron solid strats using just a Stormwind Rat and 2 squirrels.
Like it or not, you're going to have to bite the bullet and expand your pet stable to complete this achievement.

You would win the naming competition :)

Shatu wrote on 2017-09-08 00:42:49

Can somebody please come up with some strategies for Magic teams that DON'T use Minfernal? That thing is ridiculously rare.

Rozetta wrote on 2017-09-11 14:49:47

Minfernal isn't rare anymore, they're all over tanaan jungle in draenor now

Shatu wrote on 2017-09-11 17:02:04

Didn't believe you, went to Tanaan to investigate for myself.

Saw exactly zero Minfernals.

Please do not lie to people and send them on wild goose chases, you filthy troll.

noctus wrote on 2017-09-09 14:27:16

sapphire died before punce 2
i had a magic with beast cat abilities for backup. aside from that perfect.

Novax wrote on 2017-09-08 17:20:21

Trunks (2,1,1) / Sapphire Cub (2,1,2) / Any Magic Pet lvl 1+

(Worked on first try for me)

Turn 1: Ethereal
Turn 2: Headbutt
Turn 3: Smash
Turn 4: Smash
Turn 5: Smash
Turn 6: Ethereal
Turn 7: Headbutt

Bring in your Sapphire Cub

Turn 1: Rake
Turn 2+: Pounce until the fight is won

Sorin wrote on 2017-08-30 17:54:12

Any pet with beast damage works here. I used Chaos Pup + Trunks and 1 move from last pet and it worked.

Anony wrote on 2017-08-29 21:54:44

Didn't have a leveled Sapphire Cub so I used Zipao Tiger instead, same abilities, although it didn't survive. I finished the fight with Lesser Voidcaller and his Shadow Shock ability.
