My Frostwolf wasn't switched until round 7, where he was almost dead. I then continued with Scoured Whelpling and didn't swap back to Frostwolf in round 12. Whelpling handled the rest of the fight

Didn't have FG so I used the Ghost Kid (1,2,1) from the alt strat then continued on with pets listed in this strat. Worked the fist time.

What is up with posters saying guides are inaccurate without saying where they go wrong?

It really bugs me when people do this.

Sure, it's possible that strats can be wrong, and certainly when it comes to challenge achievements like Family most strats will not be 100%. That's fine. Let's by all means identify what went wrong.

But to do that we need people to give details so that others can a) conform that there is a problem and b) analyse where in the strat a change could be made to fix it.

And, honestly, I find a lot of complaints made about strats come from people who didn't follow them correctly.

Jagûar is an experienced strat-setter, so I'm guessing that in this case the problem is at your end. If you want anyone to believe otherwise:

1. Specify the pets and breeds you used
2. Explain exactly where the battle first deviated from the strat
3. Ideally, post a log of your attempt.

Sweep from Dead Deckhand Leonard is random. He seems to cast it very rarely, so it's unlikely that he'll force the pet swap on turn 3 as outlined above. In fact, it would probably be better to plan on him not casting it.

My suggestion is:

Start with Frostwolf Ghostpup
1: Refuge
2+: Scratch until Frostwolf Ghostpup dies (you kill Dread Deckhand Leonard and 1/3ish of Corrupted Slime)
3: Ghostly Bite (during Frostwolf's undead round)

Bring in Scourged Whelpling
1+: Tail Sweep until you win. Bring in 3rd pet if necessary to clean up. Scourged Whelpling survived until the end on all my attempts.

This worked great - simple and fast. I slotted Voodoo Figurine with Flame Breath into the third slot in case some bad crit streaks killed the other pets early, and it was needed for just 1 attack.

Didn't have blightbreath at 25 used Naxxy as middle pet with 1, 1, 1. Dead Deckhand Leonard didnt use sweep with Frostwolf so was able to survive til corrupted slime used refuge and 1 scratch then died, then used Naxxy started with sticky web then leech then used plague breath with sticky web and leech on cd use your best judgement here I didn't have to use scourged whelping

This team as a whole still worked with an HS blightbreath, but I used bash instead and just had to go on the fly. Used bash when Blightbreath got pulled in, then swapped in my whelp as slime swapped in.

Frost pup only comes in PP. My Blightbreath is BB and Scourged Whelpling I chose HH to be sure i had the mop up done.

Leo doesn't always sweep need an if/then scenario for that possibility. I changed up a few things after no sweep but the team worked like a charm. Thank you.

Dude, BREEDS MATTER! You need to show which ones you used, this did not at all go to your strategy. He sweeped twice and both times blightbreath came in, not the whelp.
