My Baa'l actually ended up surviving an extra turn (Turn 9) and doing another Shadowflame which somehow messed it up completely. Went without a hitch when he died a turn before on my second try.

If I'm understanding you, you mean that Baa'l's Nether Gate kills Tempe? I suppose that could happen, with the help of some crits, but it should be irrelevant, since either way Dustie comes in, and the battle proceeds.

I just tried it for myself three times, and here are my results:

1. won exactly as this strat expects, line for line. (with a H/P Voidwiggler)
2. lost when Swoggy got two crits on my Anomalus before its second Void Nova (with a H/P Voidwiggler)

I didn't do the arithmetic, but that speed tie at the start introduces another element of random, and it definitely is possible for Anom to die early.

However, AFAICS, the CoD works exactly as expected.

If you don't get off the second Void Nova, then the CoD is on Swoggy, not Tempe, and then Swoggy dies to the Nether Gate.
If you use Shadowflame on Swoggy, then CoD and Nether Gate, you get closer to winning but the CoD doesn't kill Tempe and the Soul Rush doesn't kill Dustie. It's all contingent on that second Void Nova, near as I can tell.

Tried over 10 times. Dsnt matter who starts first, my Anomalus always seem to be second on turn 5 and dying before using second Void Nova.

Anomalus and Swoggy have the same speed, so you're hoping to win the ties.
Seems imperative that you get both Void Novas off.

Doesn't work for me at all. Anomalus always dies before Swoggy, leading to the Curse of Doom being on the wrong pet.

Strategy is a bit hit and miss but works more often than not. Script will quit if Anomolous dies before Swoggy does.
