I don't understand why people are so mad. I did this with a H/P tiny twister! Yes it took me like 30 bandages, but it worked. I didn't want to go get a new Tiny twister. My other pets are B/B S/S.

I got it to work using a H/S Tiny Twister (and a B/B Thunderfail Flapper), in Shadowlands.
However, everything worked fine until Maws Jr.'s death. I noticed my Thundertail Flapper could always kill Maws Jr., and that would cause Tiny Twister's early death, ruining the strategy. Not sure how much of this is breed related.

So, instead of finishing off Maws Jr. with Thundertail Flapper, I would say you HAVE TO pass and let Thundertail Flapper die. Then the strategy worked as described.

Hope this can help anyone in the same situation as mine!

I had a very close and similar experience to get it just now. H/P Tiny Twister and B/B Thundertail Flapper. Thankfully my Flapper and Maws Jr. died at the same time, and i was able to get the stun off before dying.

I understand the sentiment, but for family-specific strats, having even bad-RNG alternatives available can help people, especially when all other alternatives have rare pets. Half of my early strats are exactly such strats: I didn't have the other pets so had to somehow make it work, no matter how horrible the RNG was.

I'm still currently working on this one, but there are SO MANY possible restart moments it feels impossible to complete. In 29 attempts, I've gotten to "Turn 2 Call Lightning Maws Jr. comes in and gets zapped hard" one time. In that one time my Thundertail Flapper was insta-killed by Blood in the Water.

I understand that this isn't the fault of the strategy creator, but Blizzard itself. Starting to doubt I'll get through this. :(

LOTS of RNG, but the instructions in this strat were really helpful & thorough. When I finally brought my Molten Corgi out while Call Lightning was active, I breathed an audible sigh of relief! My Tiny Twister is HS, not PB, with a speed of 289, so it can work with that breed, if RNG is on your side. I think it had ~120-150hp at the step where it says "Ideally you'll have Tiny Twister at 70 HP when Bruce dies," but even when it went down to 35hp it lasted like 6 more rounds. What a trooper!

In stead of a beaver i used a Jademist dancer (B/B)(not sure if it works for other breeds but thats what i had) (1,2,3) If you Geyser then rain dance and steam vent twice it will set up your twister for chum on its death. I found this was an easier than using the beaver.

Haven't tried it with the beaver - only thundertail H/B. If it doesn't work, maybe some other elemental that can block couple attacks (like bubble) would work instead of the beaver. Pretty much the key is heal and block, attack can be any. Something like ruby dropplet, perhaps?

I got to the end & was cheering but then Maws was still alive and I was teh sad. I have done this fight with PB twister probably 15 times now. Still the same team as on 12/16. I have droplet but not sure it's leveled. May wind up doing that or just go catch a flapper bc the beaver is not getting Maws dead - he keeps dying first.

It's RNG, but on the win attempts, Corgi only has one shark to deal with: Chum. Ideally Maws should die at same turn with the beaver (or whichever elemental you feel like replacing the beaver with, I'm sure there are a few other options that can survive and avoid/heal couple hits).

Tried 40+ times now, does not work. Tiny Twister (P/B) only survives Bruce in one of 5 tries. If I get this far, my Thundertail (H/B) is mostly killed by Maws. I managed three times to get to the point of fighting Chum with Corgi and Lighning up. But the Pups never managed to finish Chum. Chum will even survive one Fire and then kill Corgi

Perhaps you used lightning too early or Twister didn't got it used on Chum, but on Maws instead? Try some other pet instead of the beaver, I'm sure there might be a better match, just couldn't find any (and it worked for me so I wasn't really going through all of them).

Thundertail survived to face Chum, who opened with Megaladon -- RIP twister before I could bring it out. The strategy depends on a lot of RNG, but I haven't found a better one yet.

Problem is, this whole fight is an essence of RNG - there won't be any strategy that nullifies it to zero. This at least brings some RNG'ness to early stages, but not all of it obviously. The meoment someone finds a better pet that can guarantee to die same turn with with Maws, it might get a bit easier.

Does not work, tried 10+ times. With Bash after Lightning Tiny Twister only survives Bruce, if Bruce does not stun it. If Tiny Twister luckily kills Bruce, Bash ist not up, and Tiny Twister will die after Lightning, so there will be no Lightning up later on when Corgi summons the pups...

If the flapper is still alive, and you swap to Twister, the Twister will not get a chance to use stun as Chum will get a free hit during the change. I'd suggest, if Flapper is still alive when chum returns, using dam, and try and sneak a swap in behind that.
And if Chun uses megalodon, it might not be enough anyway. RNG all over this fight.
That aside, if things work out, this setup will win, eventually.

Might I suggest replacing the Molten Corgi with a 1, x, 2 Forest Sproutling with 273 speed. The strat works the same, but if Maws Jr. doesn't die against the beaver, the Multihit Lash with the still active thunderstorm will kill him, while Flamethrower wasn't able to do so everytime that happened to me. My HB Thundertail Flapper even got hit by Blood in the Water and it still worked.

But how do you have your Corgi up against Maws? If Maws still up once Beaver is dead, it's likely 1-shotted by Twister's Wild Winds. If not, Twister will die and whether Corgi will kill the remaining Maws or not, it'll be a loss. The idea is that Corgi won't have much but ~60% of Chum to deal with, because he gets a full set of stun+winds+lightning unleashed by Twister before it dies. Anything over than that is a sign to reset the fight.
Still, if somehow Forest Sproutling can fix that, it's all good :)

When HB beaver eats first blood in the water He lived with ~ 100 HP, continue with strat, whenhe dies, bash, wild winds, call lightning. Then continue with strat, forest sproutling does the same as corgi, but does considerable more damage to Maws Jr in the last round of call lightning. Corgi always died at that exact moment in every try I got there with it. Beaver never killed its target alone, even with P/P build. And sproutling even has a blockability in slot2 available in case you want to block blood in the water If you want to gamble

Got PB Tiny Twister, and 100% failure rate. The real problem seems to be the wishful thinking of somehow bringing in the Tiny Twister when it has 70 hp at the same time as the Flapper AND Maws die. This isn't going to happen.

Twister doesn't need any more than 70 hp (actually, 1 hp). Because it's faster than both Maws and Chum (and nothing is faster than Bruce). If beaver dies to Maws, there's only 2 outcomes: Maws is low enough for Twister to 1-shot with basic attack or it'll get hit and die no matter if there's 70 hp or half a health left. It will still get something like 800+ hits from Maws.

Anxiety was high before it's over, but finally won! Tried with HH Tiny Twister but doesn't work.This pet is from Old Arathi in the wild and not from new Arathi rares. I didn't realize this. Once I got PB breed I had to reset 4 times not to get stunned and things to go in my favor. By the time it was Corgi's turn he had about 500 hp and my heart sank. But he came through with 3, 2, 1. Maybe it didn't need a heal, but i wanted to be safe.
