The solution to the PHASING issue (i.e., you're having trouble clicking on it to start the fight, because it keeps vanishing as soon as you get within interact range) is to approach Spirit from the North, entirely within Kun-Lai. If you approach it from the south, you're crossing from the Vale zone into the Kun-Lai zone just as you reach him, which causes the phasing to occur. (edited)
