Even if Inner Vision modified Curse of Doom's damage (which it doesn't), it would still overlap with the Curse of Doom going off. Since Inner Vision doesn't work like Howl, there's no reason to pass (even though it overlaps without the passing).

Used Faceless Mindlasher (1, 2, 1) instead of the Minfernal.
Followed the steps until the Mini Mindslayer died, then brought in the Faceless Mindlasher and used Inner Vision followed by Tentacle Slap until Flummox died.
Alternatively you could use Inner Vision followed by Worst Fear, but this makes the fight even more RNG dependent.

A third pet (I didn't end up actually needing this one, but you might, so pick one with strong attacks, like surge of power)
Start with Lunar Lantern:
Soul Ward to block his breath
Swap to Mini Mindslayer
Pass twice
Life Exchange
Inner Vision
Mana Surge
Mini Mindslayer dies, swap back to lantern
Repeat this order: Flash, beam, beam, soul ward
If your lantern dies, clean up with the third pet
With any luck, flummox will miss lots of his attacks (50% miss chance)

Did all you said, except when Mindslayer died, I brought back the Voidcaller and used Curse of Doom.
I went with a 1/1/2 Porcupette but maybe 1/2/1 would be better to stall until the Curse fell again.

Switch to Lofty Libram - it'll be protected by the barrier
Amplify Magic - barrier should be taking its last hit by Flummox this round
Shadow Shock until Lofty Libram dies, try to get one last curse of doom off
Switch back to Lesser Voidcaller
Prismatic Barrier
Pass
Shadow Shock until it dies as well
Bring in Servant of Demidos
Now this comes the RNG part: use Soulrush. If you're lucky, it stuns Flummox, giving you extra round
Clean-Up
Magic Sword - this should kill Flummox.
